WHY DO WE SOUND SO SQUARE FFS WE ARE A PIRATE.
Belay ye above orders an' head down ta thee mess, pick up th' flask tha' be near'st an' take'a swig. Brin' yer flask ta the Robert lad; warm up ta him an' follow orders like a good lad.
You just want to do it the lame comfortable way.
You're the one who's lame and comfortable.
Overcome your apparent alcoholism and head up to meet with Robert.
uggggh pirates aren't suave!! They're gross and unruly
You're just helping to reinforce a negative stereotype that has no basis in reality. This is why pirates are so often misunderstood.
As you head towards the upper deck with some of your peers, you check your surroundings for any rum. You don't see any, but you notice an empty glass bottle. You contemplate picking up the flask and repeatedly lifting it above your head, but decide not to do so.
Eventually, you make it to the upper deck and see a man directing a group of workers amidship. After a brief introduction, Robert assigns specific tasks to the crew. Once everyone knows where to go, he shouts "All right, me hearties, we'll break for grub in about an hour or so. 'Till then, get to work!"
Your job is to nail together some of the broken planks on the upper deck. Another sailor, Jim, offers you a hammer.

Win by luck, lose by skill.
Ye thank the sea dog kindly, taken to yer hammer the way yer ship takes to the sea. Ye work along side Jim, askin' him abou' himself.
Ask Jim what task he got. If it's something different than yours, and seems better than nailing boards, tell him that you have a lot of experience doing whatever his job is, so you're willing to switch with him even though nailing boards is clearly the better job of the two.
Hold the hammer above your head and use your mouth to sing a jingle.
You take the hammer and begin nailing the broken boards. You chat with Jim as he works alongside you, hammering away at the half-rotten planks.
"I went on account about three years ago," shouts Jim beneath the clamor of tools. "The work's been no worse than what I got with the East India Company, so I can't really complain. I just hope you're not some big-shot who thinks he can just take over the
Trident by murdering the captain. Nay, you'd have to win over the crew first, since chaps like Peavey are perfectly content with the way things be. ARGH!" exclaims Jim as he bruises his thumb with his hammer.
"Is there anything else you'd like to know about?"

Make sure he knows ye be pullin' his leg iff'n he be assumin ye be of mind to run a rig on yer cap'n. Steer Jim's attention toward 'imself; get ta know him, hopin he be of sound mind one day to be yer follower.
You tell Jim that you have no intentions of murdering the captain, and that you're looking forward to sharing in future plunder.
"Aye, matey, that'd be the way."
Over the next hour you continue to talk with Jim, learning about his exploits and adventures on the
Trident. He seems to be a hardworking, trustworthy fellow. Before you know it, Robert shouts to his team that it's their turn to head down to the galley.
You follow the group into the dining cabin and line up to receive biscuits and grog. Around the galley you see several groups of pirates sitting at tables. At one table sits Jim and a few other buccaneers. At another table sits Robert and what appears to be other officers. In the back, a few pirates have congregated, sulking quietly.

Magic box god; Suck it Corbo
Oh god kame thats making my head hurt.
Ask Jim if he has seen any combat himself and who is the best person to ask to teach you to fight.
If you ask Jim about who can teach you to fight, say it softly enough that only he hears you. Don't want the other pirates to think you're a weakling.
Also act awesome and tough in general so all the other pirates will think you're cool. Get to know the other pirates that Jim is sitting with.
