I'm testing consecutive defeats of enemies granting a multiplier to score gained (e.g. enemy 1 gives 5 score, enemy 2 gives 10 score, enemy 3 gives 15 and so on until the player touches the ground). It works!
Why not do it in powers of two? Such as 1, 2, 4, 8, etc.? If you don't have a clusterfuck of enemies the multiplier becomes very valuable if you can maintain it ;DThe point of the +5 multiplier is to immediately give a substantial award, whereas it would take 5 stomps in a row with powers of two to reach the potency of the +5 multiplier.

Then it says "Restarting download in 5..." and same thing happens.
EDIT: Nevermind it now works.
Uninstalling the application in Win7 64 does not work. (Programs and Features: Slick -> Uninstall)

The size of your main character doesn't match with the rest of the games art. He's too small and thin. He needs more pixel muscles.
None.
To give an update, I've reached a huge milestone in this game's progress - the first world (consisting of 20 levels) is completed and just needs to be slightly wrapped up (e.g. levels rearranged so more difficult ones are later), and I'm now working on the second one. Soon enough this project will be completed and on XBLIG. ;D
Lots of progress being made. The second world is about halfway finished, and then I'll just have to make a third one, do some finishing polish (including menus, level transitions and such) and then it'll be done unless I feel like adding more worlds which I probably will.
Fuck the desert world looks awesome. I still haven't gotten that far.
None.
Second world is done. This is the first level of the third, introducing falling tiles (which were a bitch to code).
Now the third world is done. All that's left is two more.
This is a screenshot of what I plan the fourth to look like (it's not necessarily a level). It's supposed to be a world war one battlefield type of thing, which contrasts a lot with the cutesie little first world. There's going to be land mines, howitzers, zeppelins, and other fun stuff to kill you.

The game is
VERY close to completion! There's menus, automatic saving/loading, and all I have to do now is add a few more levels (there are 95 now, aiming for 100) and then polish it up a bit.

I love those background tile images, very well done. I'd advise keeping the art a bit more consistent. Some images have strange pixel sizes compared to others. Generally you want your images' pixel sizes to all be the same format. However I can see your 3 pixel color palette on the large stone in the background, just chillin there at the top right

Should have posted it in the blogs section

What no, it's a game so it goes in the games section.

Eehhh it'd get more attention in the blogs section, and everyone posts in blogs about specific games. Sports/games is more like discussion of popular games. Blogs is more like daily entries/random informational posts.
Example:
http://www.teamliquid.net/blogs/viewblog.php?topic_id=355746I'd say just post a blog about it and ask a mod to close the topic in the sports/games section.
