It is my personal opinion that the judges should keep their scores private (not even shared with other judges) until the other judges are finished, and then give them to a single person (likely Demon in this case) to post the results at one time. The point of having multiple judges is to ensure a more fair and balanced scoring, but telling the other judges what your scores are before they are finished with their own presents an easily avoidable circumstance of possible bias. I also believe posting it publicly when it's possible there will still be late entrants could give them an unfair advantage because they can see exactly what others did wrong and correct it in their own map before submission.

I commend you for your timely judging though, it doesn't look like it was rushed either, which is great ^^

Cool guys. Any late submissions (not sure if anyone else is participating) will receive a 25% score reduction on their final score.

Not gonna lie, I'm busy as fuck. Hopefully I can get the scores in by Sunday or so.

Azrael makes a good point. I second it.

Yeah, I guess. Judges, you can post your pros and cons, but PM me the scores and I'll average them all together.

Fixed, thanks. I'll be going through Pr0nogo's campaign this evening, and Jim_Raynor's tomorrow, so expect me to finish up my judging in two days.

If we have hotfixes for non-critical (or critical, for that matter, though that doesn't apply to me I don't think) issues with our campaigns, are we allowed to submit them, even if they're not averaged into the final score? I'd assume no because you're judging the product we submitted pre-10/19/11.

Anyhow, I'll have a hotfix that adds a few new features and stabilises the difficulty of the Immortal portion of the Protoss mission, but I'll keep the original download link for judging/reference purposes.

The version that will be judged is the one that was submitted by the deadline. Sorry!

Unless you want the 25% late penalty applied to your entire campaign.

Sep 19 2011, 7:53 pm Pr0nogo Post #229

That's what I figured.

No matter, I planned on finishing Rivalry anyways. Maybe the Terran campaign can be for another campaign contest at some other date/time. :P
Have fun with the four maps, though!

Edit: Okay, I'm pissed off now. My version of the mod has some funky shit going on with its units.dat file that didn't happen before I .zipped it and sent it over. Can anyone confirm? Mel'krieg will be Sarah Kerrigan, Altaesir will be Fenix (Dragoon), Clarions will be Aldarises, etc. None of the graphics have loaded up, in short, and that's really not cool because it was working fine before.

Edit 2: Yep, fairly sure it's everywhere. I'm gonna re-upload it with the proper shit, new stuff for the Protoss map included, and take the -25%. I guess this is why nobody with 64bit machines uses DatEdit anymore.
tl;dr don't play Rivalry until I post a new link.

Here we go... again!

Everything should work now. Let me know of any bugs and the like!

Dem0n, I wouldn't normally ask for this, but can I get, like, 15% or something off instead? It was a technical difficulty brought about by a process I had no control over, so it's not like it was an oversight on my part.
/e I don't care if I get the 25% off, I took more time to fix the map after I fixed the mod so I deserve the penalty.

At any rate, this'll be it for a day or two. Trying to give myself a break and do some schoolwork for once!

EDIT: Give me like ten more minutes. Another issue came up.

EDIT 2: Done.

EDIT 3: Lots of random shit happens when you forget to revert conditions... Hotfix, DL it again.

Friends,

I was going to submit something, but the unprofessional attitude displayed over the past few pages made me refrain from entering the competition. It's almost like a mock version of the CC contests.

I'll be minding my own business, now.

L

My name is Church.

Legion,
If you have a campaign done, upload it somewhere. I don't care if it's not for the contest, but if you never release it you would have just wasted your time and ability. ;P

Dem0n,
Could the participants get PMd with our reviews as well beforehand?

I PM'd Angel about that, and his response was the following:

Unfortunately, no. The judging criterion will be released publicly when Dem0n says so, and no sooner.

'L' must stand for 'lol' because that's what I got out of this post - a good laugh. Seriously, this is nobody's job. Creating campaigns requires time and effort, sure, but that's no reason to demand a fully-serious environment. This is neither a schoolhouse nor the White House. No need for a superbly-professional outlook. Clearly, something like that would have helped, but saying "you guys are unprofessional; therefore I'm going to be too high-strung to participate with you" is much more unprofessional than what was 'displayed over the past few pages'. You did that out of spite, quite frankly, and if that's not immature/unprofessional, then no such adjectives should be used to describe pages 8-12.

I think this contest was pretty legit. There was some debate concerning the extensions and deadline, but that's understandable IMO. Definitely not a deal-breaker.

On a more relevant note, I'm waiting for the reviews...

Btw are the judges confirmed as DemonSlayer, AngelSpirit, and Tikels?

None.

I intend on judging when I am at full health. I am sick.

I as well will get to judging the submissions as soon as I can. School is currently wrecking my life, but I do plan to take some time to play through these things over the weekend. Good job, everyone! The campaigns looks great!

I can always submit my judging (even if it isn't counted). I did say I was gonna do that, after all...

I noticed nobody downloaded the new, fixed Contest Version... Judges, be sure to get that one.
