Recursion RPGLatest Version:
http://www.staredit.net/sc1db/file/3048/Storyline:
Quote from name:Storyline
Living on a tiny island, you must rush to save you and your people from being swallowed by the ocean. A small Warding Orb that looks like a crystal was placed on the island long ago to press the ocean back from the island. More recently, this Warding Orb has been receding and the ocean has been bellowing in response. You must find out how to save your island before the ocean depths reach out above and engulf all you know and love! Luckily, a particular villager in the island has a magical mushroom that you use to send you back in time, time enough to hopefully repair the Warding Orb and save the island..
Gameplay:
You play through this RPG in single player. The appeal of this map is in the interaction with the environment whilst solving the intertwined problems and puzzles the map provides. This map has practically no fighting, and the appeal of the map was intentionally diverted from fighting with units by design. The map was also designed to allow maximum gameplay time all the while easing the amount of work the mapper had to do in order to create the amount of fun interaction this map provides.
Inventory:
The inventory is just a line of slots in which units sit in. To use an item, hotkey the item and move order anywhere on the map.
NPC Interaction:
Most NPCs in this game require human interaction. The interaction in this game revolves around using a dropship with two reavers, one reaver for replying Yes, and the other for No.
Wav Collection:
The wav collection used in this map is rather extensive for a SC map, and almost every single wav file used came from the game Zelda: A Link to the Past. The title screen is just a joke ;P

None.
Looks very interesting! I'll give it a shot tonight.
None.
The large hole has been blinded!
I took me forever to find the SC1 section icon
None.
1) Was the riddle guy useful at all?
2) I believe the answer to the integral of velocity is acceleration!
3) The Wise man made a typo "I useD to have it [...]"
4) Couldn't find the Essence Orb
5) I could move the Pillars by stacking the Grable Hook. One of them became (or was?) invincible and I killed it with the corsair
I think that's what prevented me from finding the Essence Orb...
I also saw a DT under one of the Pillars! >:O
6) lol@orange pedophile! "Let's go somewhere less crowded, I have something to tell you!" XD
7) The Old Box wouldn't activate until I did something (I do not know what).
8) Accidentally passing by a villager and having to wait for the end of the discussion was boring. Add a skip! >:O
9) I could use the Large Hole supposedly requiring 'tiny form' from the start. I thought I had to use the Orb of Form, but it really wouldn't change anything.
Overall pretty nice little map.
None.

Yes!

It is! But didn't it say derivative?
4) Couldn't find the Essence Orb
Hehe

Don't do that
7) The Old Box wouldn't activate until I did something (I do not know what).
Me neither?
8) Accidentally passing by a villager and having to wait for the end of the discussion was boring. Add a skip! >:O
It used to be worse. I added in some unwalkable terrain so that happens less often.
9) I could use the Large Hole supposedly requiring 'tiny form' from the start. I thought I had to use the Orb of Form, but it really wouldn't change anything.
There is more than one large hole, and it isn't possible for you to walk to it (the one on the ledges) with the zealot.
Overall pretty nice little map.
Thanks payne! Will fix typos, and maybe update the OP with a new dl file.
None.
1) Damn, I missed something then
2) It was the third question that had "integral", and he kept saying I was wrong! >:O
8) Ya, I had noticed those little patches of terrain preventing me from running into them.
9) I did access that hole easily on the Zealot form.
None.

You must be magic or something. Or we are talking about a different hole, there are like 5

I'm talking of the hole where you can "fall off the ledge".
None.
I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.
you can bug the riddle guy, by quickly unloading both answers (both answers are triggered)
edit1:
-did he give me potions for correct answers?
-using cloaked wraiths for explosions might be better
-the guy who looks for his tall wife trapped me... please make him patrol around you (use a preplaced disruption web for offset)... guess I need to wait for the crumbling orb
-I've no idea what I could do with the statues. They only seem to teleport away from me (but you could use a storage with fully cloacked observers for a perfect hallucination death effect).
-I can't tell the guy who builds his house that I don't want to use his paddle hook. After going to the fisher I already had a paddle hook somehow :S I'm not sure when I got it...

Oh you're right. Actually, you can only bug him I believe in a single direction, as in with yes then no, but not no then yes (or vise versa). That's just because of the trigger sequence in the list. I'll add that to the next update, if there is ever one.
Did anyone beat this yet? If you beat it, let me know! Share your thoughts here in this topic if you have.
None.
I used the zergling potion to get into one of the wholes and it still didnt let me pass by the terrain to get to the hole and I wasted the potion and gave up and had a sandwich.
None.
Hmm. If you click on the hill you should have no problem getting up there. Luckily I didn't make it so you had to get up there to beat the game, it's just an optional path.
None.
Spoiler alert!
Orb Hints
Orbs hint: 1) Talk to the right man next to a tree; 2) Pay the man who wants 30 gold.
None.
Fixed dead link and uploaded map to the dldb (link in OP). Just played the map again, all looks good and didn't find any bugs. Added some gameplay hints to the download link!

Somehow this went under my radar. I'll check it out wen I get home!
Ok so I ran into some problems and was unable to finish the map.
After obtaining the grappling hook, the orb of essence, and the wand, I ran out of time and had to use the mushroom. My inventory looked like this upon going back in time
Now this was continuously using my grappling hook and I was unable to use any other items.
Later on after trying to fiddle around with fixing it and trying to figure out what to do next, I let the daemon kill me, and ran out of time so I had to use the mushroom. My inventory ended up like this
and I was stuck forever in this position
I'd like to add that my inventory items kept moving to the right each time I went back in time. I guess eventually they just ended up all clumped up
Really interesting map until then! Would love to see this fixed and then go back and finish it.

Okay, thanks a lot for the bug report! I think you gave me enough information to go and fix it.
I might get to it this weekend. If I do fix it I'll report back here Edit: Welp looks like I decided to fix it now.
