We wouldn't hold it against cecilsunkure (since, from what I read, he's the only one who hasn't completed his reviews) if his reviews were omitted from the contest. There are already two other judges which seems to be the standard in contests here. It's already been over two weeks and I'm sure that the other contestants are getting very impatient if not completely losing interest.

By delaying it even further you're only hurting the contest. It's in everyone's best interest that the reviews be revealed now, even if it means omitting one of the judge's.

On another note, I'm afraid I won't be entering this contest. I just hate games where teamwork is an integral part of the gameplay and I would never be able to make a game around that theme. Let's just say I've had some bad experiences with half-witted adolescents in such games. Don't see this as something negative against any of you though. It's just my personal opinion. I wish all the other contestants (if there are any) the best of luck.

Allright, here's my submission. :)

I made this map purely for the contest. I'm not sure I'd ever make a map like this under normal circumstances...this was supposed to be a stupid 3-hour creation. I think, overall, it's still stupid, but it took quite a lot longer than 3 hours. ;) It's a frustrating game in a way, but from the tests I've run with friends and pubbies the results have been rather hilarious. This map will require LOTS of training to play properly...

Another thing is that the judging of the 2nd contest is underway (at least in my part).. Cecil and I have decided that it is best that Cecil does not judge the 2nd contest, as he is extremely busy right now with his Finals D: ...
Also, I have gotten IP's sponsorship for BOTH this and the 2nd contest, meaning that the winners of the 2nd contest will also get minerals. My argument was that the 2nd contest had some pretty awesome stuff, making it extremely hard to finish playing all of them and judge them. So Please be patient. Moreover, if the turnout of this contest is bad, it may affect later contest's rewards. So I hope you guys are actually participating... (I understand many people may have finals too... so i'm not holding it against you guys)
Final words: If people need an extension, please post here NOW and we'll consider it.

http://www.staredit.net/?file=2219 So, a disclaimer: I was high the ENTIRE time I made this map. I have no idea what gameplay is like. It's kind of like a heavily modified and themed Income Defense, where you're actually attacking an enemy HQ type building though and there are times where you have to spend your income. You also may invest your income, and it gives you a 10% gain each turn (20-30 seconds, depending on upgrades). This does not include the turn that you invest the income, so it must be invested for at least 1 turn before giving any returns. To collect your investments, you simply build a science facility and it is all withdrawn. This adds another element of complexity, because then you are forced to go a turn without interest if you want to collect some of your income. Every turn, the amount of income you currently have is converted into minerals, which can be used to buy some very basic units.

Edit: One thing I worry is that gameplay may be VERY slow due to mining system. Oh, to upgrade the amount of gas returned by SCVs, simply kill one of your refineries (you may rebuild it). This will make the amount of gas you collect each time go up by 1, up to 10. Sorry for the map not being very noob friendly, atm. It's kind of rushed :P

Okay, here is my re-submission, I made a couple edits. I was going to make a couple more, but I'm not sure I could do it in the 4 minutes remaining.

Just a note: Difficulty level for this map can be adjusted via game speed. Using Faster, Fast, or even Normal can be considered a "reasonable" level to accommodate the speed of the game to the reality of human reaction time.

EDIT: Ha, actually, 4 minutes didn't cover the additional editing. 20 seconds was all I needed. ;)

I will Extend the submission deadline to Tomorrow at 6:59pm PST. You must either post, or show me map for mapnight :P (Hopefully i can make it tomorrow).. maps that are submitted late Will be judged, but may have marks subtracted.

"Impossible Recovery"
Starts out as a pretty standard impossible map, but the boss battles are intense and require teamwork to solve. They're unlike any other boss battles out there! If you can not beat the whole thing, that is understandable since it is an impossible map, but just be sure to play a couple of bosses. Spent probably 12 total hours work on this so it's pretty damn good.

I was going to make a team combat type game, but then I realized that there aren't nearly enough testers for it. It was going to be 8-player with all kinds of competitive strategies and things. I'm thinking I'll finish it anyway, but since I haven't worked on it recently it's not likely to be done today...

Edit: Leeroy. Best map I ever played. Definitely gonna win the contest. Man, my friend and I loved it!

mmmm This is bad...

I'm assuming this is due to finals that's going on right now... There're so far only 3 submissions.
Fox seems to be getting one together... but this is now past submission date...

But Please fox, still submit your map.. It'd be interesting to play it...
I'm going to hold off judging this at least until I figured out the reviews for the 2nd contest X.X ... Late submissions are still accepted!!
