Here are three more submissions:

FoxWolf1's Map
Murder Mystery by Leeroy_Jenkins
qPirateKing's Map

Loveless might have received PMed maps as well. Anyone is welcome to turn in late maps, though they won't be considered for the rankings. They might, however, for fun still be judged with feedback provided ^^

Seriously, anyone with an unfinished yet at least somewhat playable map, I urge you to turn it in ;P

I just woke up xD I have to go out but I'll finish it when I get back and turn it in for the not-counted judging. If I had started it Sunday instead of Monday it'd have been fine, but not a lot I can do about that now lol.

I know you wanted me to turn in a semi-finished version yesterday and I could have if I'd worked until midnight, but I'd been up so long I was starting to hallucinate sounds anyways, probably would have passed out before that :bleh:

I'll just have to start working on the next contest sooner.

I'll give a SC2 beta-key to anyone winning the next competition. (No joke!)
Blizzard just sent me a "invite a friend" e-mail!
EDIT: In fact, I've just seen I had 2 beta keys.
Good luck to the contestants of the next two contest! ;)

Good thing I have no chance of winning this (yeah, I know my map sucks); I already have a beta key!

:payne:

I gave one of my beta keys to a good friend of mine, though I'll conserve the other one I have.
I'd suggest the winners of the two next contest share the key. I am already sharing my own with somehow a lot of people and no problems seems to occur and everyone is enjoying their experience. ^^

This map was not yet judged because it was just now sent to me. It will be judged for fun, although not displayed in the rankings. I urge anyone that reads this to try this map out despite it being late! Thanks for uploading it to us Azrael.

Here are the links to the judges' notes, which include detailed critiques for each individual map.
I also want to thank LoveLess for being an awesome judge during the running of this contest! Awesome judges make for awesome contests.

Check the contest rankings here.

Note: The name of each map in the above quote is a link to the download file for that particular map.

HELL YEAH 7ZIP!
Love that program!

Chia did better than QPK in everything except completion and theme. I consider that REALLY nice. (for him)

Well, chia's map was awesome, but it obviously took a lot of his time to get as far as he did. There is a completion category for a reason ;)

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

If he had just done a few more puzzles and gave it an ending, the map would have been an easy near perfect map for me. I really enjoyed Psyche, my appreciation goes out to chia for letting us judge a map like that.

Once again Chia gains 2nd for not finishing his map, its a sad day. Work on it earlier :O

Ah, well; it's not what I would have wanted, but not entirely a surprise, either, given that I never intended its puzzles to be solvable without a good bit of work and time. I only hope that people who are into difficult puzzle maps will not be deterred by the low score (especially the "completion" score, which does not at all reflect the completion level of the map, I'd say) and keep working at it until they can get...well, further than the second level (and if you think L2 is hard, wait till you see the ones after it :P).

Yeah sorry again for the lateness, I was busting ass to finish it with only about 2 days left xP Sad thing is if I hadn't rushed so much, I wouldn't have made the mistake which caused me to need to redo all the triggers, and I wouldn't have ended up having to release a "demo" version. Sigh.

I promise to start working on the next contest sooner ^^

Congratz to qPirateKing and to the other contestants who entered :D

You're talking as if I actually had a choice. April 20th to 28th was the week of my finals. I only managed to spare a few hours here and there in my breaks from studying. My session officially ends on may 6th so I'll have plenty of time after that.

I never make spelling errors. Find those alleged spelling errors and I'll correct you.

As for the final results, I must say I was quite disappointed. I feel like qpirateking's map was so well received because he is qpirateking. I'm not saying his map was terrible; quite on the contrary, it was very well done. On the other hand, the puzzles were fairly unoriginal; although the map looked very good and the various modes of gameplay offered great versatility, a puzzle map without good puzzles just isn't a good puzzle map, regardless of looks, "professionalism", etc.

Nah, people at SEN don't act like that. Well, at least not the ones allowed to be judges.

You're map wasn't finished, and there was a two point difference between yours and his.

Sounds like this was the reason you lost. You're map was really my favorite one submitted, by the way.

The ratings for Lizard37 don't do justice to it. Quite frankly, the label of "unintuitive" the judges gave it ought to rank it higher in points, not lower: the fact that the judges were "puzzled" only demonstrates that it's the only real puzzle here. I've played it for some time. It's hard as hell, and worth a second look for anyone willing to put their minds to the test. Don't expect it to be a two-hour ride. You're looking at many, many hours, possibly days.

Ah, I am sorry. I was typing through the notes rather fast with yours, you can slap me with your brother's cock for it later. Sorry for that, but I can assure you, that the only thing it could affect was aesthetics which you still got high even for blocky terrain. I know its unavoidable in Installation, but you did choose it and accept the consequences.

You weren't the only one, but the completion reflected that.

I think that the map would be harder for people who don't know the limits of what you can trigger. Also, he received no special treatment. He won because he is qpirateking and that's for sure, but it wasn't his name, instead his skill as a mapmaker. You would have won had your map been complete and had at least another puzzle. Accept that much.

Anyone can make a puzzle map that is impossibly hard. It takes more skill to balance a map between difficult and fun when it comes to puzzles.

qPK made a map under a pseudonym once (Specifically Fifth Station) and it received no attention simply because we pay attention to the people whom we KNOW are good, and ignore the riffraff. Now whether this could be true in a contest is debatable...
