Everything that is the site is great and well made. However, there is a severe lack of discipline. People can go on rampages whenever they want and there is an excessive amount of swearing. Discipline is needed to have a clean community. Right now this is a very dirty place, and very uninviting.

Unfortunately, good unbiased moderators are hard to find.

I agree, I've seen a lot more profanity/use of inappropriate words than usual, or at least than before.

Not only that, but I notice as the versions of StarEdit.net go up, the quality of the community goes down.
This needs to be fixed.

I agree, but I've pretty much given up expecting any.

Bad idea goofus. I really don't want this to be maintained by nazi librarians.

Oct 28 2007, 1:08 am ~:Deathawk:~ Post #7

There is definitely a difference between being a nazi librarian and being a moderator.

And there's no need for you to be a troll, cheeze. ;)

yeah, in half of the UMS helping topics some two people start bashing each other - it's really irritating.

We might want to put up a vote to see who should be a moderator where. I personally nominate AntiSleep for a position in the Politics and Science Debate section.

Or just let moose choose seeing as it's his site more so then yours and you should have no opinion in the matter of who moderates where, but rather why they should not moderate there.

It is a legit question. If you don't care, and you've lost faith, why are you here? Don't try to generalize something without even thinking about it.

Oh ya, we had moderators.

Then IP discharged them.

Cheeze kind of proves Akar's point.

I don't think popular vote is a good way to appoint moderators. I also don't think such things should be initiated without at least Moose's consent.

Also, I can't see this site getting better until IP comes back. Or somebody jacks the keys.

Bad habits, and the mafia. If you've noticed, I rarely post these days, and I haven't read a forum besides this one, News, Null, and Lite Discussion for at least two weeks. It's not like I'm going to go "OMG I'M ABANDONING SEN," but it is slowly falling in my priorities on the Internet.

We live in a society.

I do hope you realize that there haven't been any moderators since IP's news post on September 19.

I realize that...
And the problem is like a snowball rolling down an endless snowy hill, the longer it rolls the bigger the problem becomes.
We could always have a vote than have moose approve or deny them. (just like in the United States government!)
