Actually, in one of the blizzcon vids they have the bnet screen up, and one thing it says is "DotA allstars" on the map selection... not sure if it was just to be funny or there's an ACTUAL DotA for sc2, but either way, i still think HoN has the best chance of actually making it in the long run.
I realize it's sort of off-topic, but just wanted to address this. During those panels at BlizzCon, they basically said that all the screenshots and animation were mock-ups. They wanted to use DotA as a very specific example as to how all games related to one map will be filtered to one dropdown menu, since you can never find other games on WC3 anymore due to a cluttered list of "DOTA ALLSTARS OMG." I don't remember anything at BlizzCon to suggest that Blizzard is making their own DotA, though, and IceFrog himself has now said he isn't sure if he wants to port it. My guess is they wont do it, unless they pay him to.
If he doesn't someone else will.
I don't remember anything about Blizzard releasing a SC2 DotA. Is that just speculation?
The point is.. That someones going to MAKE one, no matter how hard we try to stop them.

I was just saying that's where all the speculation came from.
None.
I dislike LoL and HoN because they're stolen rip-offs of a map I don't like play on a game I do like to play.
S2 (the makers of hon) had explicit permission from Icrfrog to make Hon. He's even worked a little with them getting it the way it should be.
None.
I wonder if you just like LoL because it caters to your lack of investment into learning how to play.
I wonder if you just hate LoL because it's not grim-dark.
LoL's graphics in my opinion look terrible. I hate cell shading, its why Wind Waker sucked. I further believe it caters to casual gamers rather than serious ones like myself who believe in things like investment and skill. Casual gaming is the cancer killing the industry, as the Wii and its gimmicky nature attest.
>< Wind waker was a fantastic game. Another good one with Cell-shading was Okami. Get your biased opinions out of here. How can you put down a game that you've never played?
None.
Serious gamers?? No offense, Ex, but that just makes you sound like a total loser. Games were made to be casual... I'm sure HoN is better, but you really shouldn't insult a game to that extent if you haven't played it.

Do they have permission from Blizzard to copy the look of WC3?

Okami is an example, in my opinion, of a game done well in cell shading. A new game for wii, the game madworld is also an example of where cell shading truly works... ut windwaker used cell shading in a bad way. It never works to convert a previously normal game into cell shaded, and that's where they went wrong.

There's no "I hate all of them" option?
None.
Why would you bother then?
None.
Relatively ancient and inactive
I prefer HoN, but I never tried LoL. On the graphics and the childish theme, though, I'll say I hate it from way back here.
None.
i like HON better than LOL. LOL has some customization to heroes such as perks and unique spells to that certain heroes but the cooldown on spells are just way too long for me. and the colors hurts my eyes lol so bright!
HON im just more comfortable with because i play dota quite often. and it's more to what im used to.
but even lately im lost interest hon until they add a bunch of more heroes. i've been playing dota a lot now
