FUSION HEROES
Reason
This map is a remake from my latest map, Death Magic, that was a near success. I acc-
omplished what I set out to do and made a great map that involved lots of fun, strate-
gic and constructive gameplay. However, the main problem was, most bnetters dont
have the patience to download a map thats over 400kb. My triggers alone used up ab-
out 600kb because I wrote all the spells for the first human player, then mass modifie-
d them using Notepad and transferred them to the other human players.
Anyway, as much as some of you SEN members will hate me for this, I know this time it
will be a success and I wont let any abusive discouragement kill my ambition for this m-
ap series. If you dont like my intentions, leave the topic as I hate ambition killers or ju-
st plain negative people. Thanks.
Upgrades from last map
Improved trigger structure (cutting the download time by 50% at least)
1 extra hero (+4 spells)
Random option at hero selection
Salary system based on time in battle and units killed
Leveling system
Manual/automatic aiming system
Special FX
Improved terrain
Referee option

Specifications
Terrain: Jungle
Size: 128/128
Players: 2-6

Gameplay
The game is all about spells and hero killing. Spawned in an arena, you and your team
are to destroy the enemy heroes and win a total of 10 rounds. There are a few various
game factors that determine your style of play; -
1- Upgrade mana and spells in any ord-
er -
2- Upgrade the damage of your hero or your summon spells -3- Collect powerups ar-
ound the map -
4- Earn gold by gaining battle experience.
Teleport Spells
Junction - Teleports you to a summoned unit
Follow - Teleports you to a nearby enemy and stuns for 1.5 seconds
Switch - Switches the location of you and an enemy hero
Flash - Teleports all nearby enemies to your location
Defensive Spells
Distortion - Immobilizes enemies for 6 seconds (not a stun)
Transform - Summons a replacement hero as your other hero heals for 500hp every 30 seconds
Barrier - Invulnerability for 6 seconds
Living Armor - Gives you +70 armor for 10 seconds
Silence - Stops enemies from using spells for 6 seconds
Magic Shield - Evades targeted spells for 10 seconds
Metamorphosis - Morphs into a Queen for 6 seconds (Ensnare active)
Damage Spells
Dragonfire - Summons a Guardian for 6 seconds
Centaur - Summons an Ultralisk for 6 seconds
Trueshot - Summons a Battlecruiser for 10 seconds
Blade Fury - Summons 3 Dark Templars for 10 seconds
Sky Fighter - Summons a Scout for 10 seconds
Autocannon - Summons a Goliath for 6 seconds
Firestorm - Summons a Wraith for 6 seconds
Ultimate Spells
Phantom - Teleports your hero away and secretly renders a replica for 6 seconds
Starfall - Summons Mutalisks at enemies anywhere on map for 6 seconds
Bloodrage - Summons 3 Dark Templars and sucks enemies in anywhere on map for 6 seconds
Oversight - Summons an Arbiter for 6 seconds
Diffuse - Stuns enemies for 6 seconds
Conversion - Gives you control over all enemy summons anywhere on map for 6 seconds
Banishment - Transfers an enemy into an alternate dimension for 6 seconds (also silences and freezes enemy spell cooldowns)

I can't see the HP, so is this game by vHP or by the normal way?

Just here for the activity... well not really

I think the DA is the chooser, and based off of spells I think it's norm HP.

yeh its normal HP. im focusing my efforts on the spells and visual effects system.

VOTE! im still deciding what kind of objectives will make the map more fun. Either an AoS concept where you have to destroy the enemy base, or just a fighting arena where you just fight heroes all game. here are the advantages for both ideas.
AoS
Pros
Adds depth to game
Map doesnt feel so empty and quiet
Fun objective
Cons
Computer units get in the way of spells
Less hero fighting
Melee units get harassed in lanes
Gets annoying walking around the map (especially going back to heal)
Arena
Pros
Lots of fun hero battles and spell usage
Allows you to focus on enemy heroes instead of computer players
Cons
No main objective other than hero killing
Map feels empty
Main objective seems pointless (reach so many hero kills)

Seeing that you're still doing this dispite the criticism, I'd hate to be the first one to post a negative comment but...

OMG think of a Good name and STICK WITH IT!! when you "remake" something.. which you didn't really, as everything's probably the same... Have the same name and just change the version...

Otherwise, I still haven't played Death Magic, because the title, to be honest, somewhat sucked. (it was... okay in getting ppl's attention, but it didn't fit the game's theme...)
Again, maybe i'll test this out.. but hopefully I won't be wasting my time.

EDIT: Oh and Fusion Heroes as the title = suck cause I don't think heroes actually do any fusion... so it is misleading.. tho it's a step on the right track

You change everything except the main problem is that you need better spells. Your spell names are yawn, and spells that = Summon this unit for this many seconds are boring and might as well be called "Summon spells that only last a few seconds."

+ Tell us what kind of power ups there are to collect.

do you mean better spell descriptions and the fantasy factor, or i need to improve the functionality of my spells? ive done everything i can think of that isnt cheap or unbalanced. look at the amount of different things the spells do? what else is there starcraft can offer?

okay powerups appear on the map in random places at random times and give random things as follows;
-1- random gold amount 100-200
-2- healing potion (heals HP to 100%)
-3- +10% chance to reincarnate from death (stacks up to 30%)
-4- upgrades your ultimate spell by 0.5 seconds (stacks up to +1.5 seconds)
-5- improves range on all your spells by 10% (stacks up to 30%)
-6- restores the cooldown of your next 3 spells

thats all the ideas i have at the moment.
