Map Information
Map information:
Size: 256x256 total with a 192x192 center frame. The area outside of the center frame will be used for interiors and console functions.
Players: 8, I may make it require FH to be played.
Tileset: Jungle
Terrain type: Heavy extended areas within an isometrical layout. Interiors will be very custom and use a lot of spriting effects.
Trigger systems: Nothing fancy. Time based spawn with factors of land taken and castles built. Probably why I might finish it.
File size: TBA
Protection Status: Probably going to be open source. Maybe just compress it and offer the open version to anyone who asks. The map is probably going to end up being pretty big so I'd like to compress it.

Story

When time was set in motion by the gods to impose order on our world, a failsafe was invented. Should the continuation of time be disrupted it would reset to it's starting state, rewinding the world back with it.
Thousands of years later, the embodiment of evil himself, Fernal, who had killed a god, had gained the ability to exist outside of the law of time. He extended this ability to his minions, and was prepared to rewind the world, that he and his minions may have reign of the world, unopposed. However, The Arion Nation and the Heroes Of Old stopped his plot. The First War ended in Arion's favor, with the help of their allies who's names have long been forgotten, as Arion is an arrogant nation with no love for friends they no longer needed. However, although the war was won, being that he had killed a god, Fernal could not be killed by the mortal men who had defeated his army. Instead he was sealed on The Lonely Island where the hands of his servants could not reach him.
All remained peaceful while Fernal's Reich sat in the shadows licking their wounds. Arion saw no reason to pursue the underlings now that Fernal was sealed. The Forgotten knew however that the day would come when the remaining evils would seek to release their leader. The Heroes Of Old as they aged remembered this fight and that they would once again be called upon. Some died, and others lived to see the day.

Arion Pureborn
Representative unit: Arion Knight
The Arion Pureborn are made up of men born on Nylar Isle, the capital of Arion. Trained on their home isle and taught to love and respect The Arion Nation, and to look down upon most others, they are served by extra zeal in the defense of their home.
Daughter's Of Arion
Representative unit: Cleric
When Fernal fell, he cursed the people of Arion. In one hundred years the last daughter of Arion will be born, and so the kingdom will die out. The remaining daughters being born shortly before the last, took up magic in order to serve on the battlefield, and lift the curse.
Living Shadows
Representative unit: Shadow Of The Forest
The Forest Of Shadows, long seeped in magic and mystery never let go of those who died there. The souls of these unfortunates were made immortal warriors, charged to defend the forest, and it's source of power, The Eldtree.
Haze Pirates
Representative unit: Haze Battleship
When the names of The Forgotten were lost to time and the arrogant disregard of Arion, their nation became an interwoven pack of multiple communities. Those that took up residence by Haze Bay became shipmasters and bring these skills to battle on the high seas.
Eternal Magi
Representative unit: Immortal
Much like the Living Shadows, these mages were cursed to walk the earth eternally. However, this was their own doing. Iris, father of Ithril, was once the leader of a great clan of mages. However in his quest for power, he cursed his people to a wraith like state of being, as they will be until the end of time.
The Redeemed
Representative unit: The Raised
Fernal, not content to simply have dominion of most darker creatures roaming the world, pacted with the dark god of The Abyss. He would kill many and deliver their souls in return for the resurrection of demons to serve him.
Deathwings
Representative unit: Skycrawler
Under the mountains of Razor Pass slept a great dragon queen, perhaps one of the last alive. When Fernal's army took up residence in the pass, they started mining operations and found her. Now, chained and enslaved by dark magics, her offspring are forced into The Reich's service, their shapes twisted by the black magics that bind them to Fernal's will.
Manhunters
Representative unit: Manhunter Warrior
Their origin is only known in legend. Tales of offspring combining human, ogre, and demon. These behemoths are to be feared, their brute strength second to none. They ally themselves with The Reich in order to settle their long standing grudge will all the remaining men who do not share their brutish deformed fate.
Underland Arachnids
Representative unit: Black Crawler
Discovered nesting in the caverns underneath Fernal's Terror Tower, these poisonous creatures are of the most strange and unknown of all. They seem to willingly serve Fernal, perhaps because of his power, or perhaps because they have no apparent hierarchy of their own.
Events
The map will use special events for either side to make significant advancement. Trying to win without taking advantage of these events can be very difficult if not impossible.
Assault On The Great Pier
Attacker: The Reich
Defender: Arion, specifically their rear island
Conditions: Destroy both Red Coast battlements and The Beacon Of Brushtop on The Red Coast. Manhunter must be brought to the ruins of the beacon.
Action: Three large waves of units will spawn around the island surround The Temple Of Nylar and overwhelming The Great Pier. This is to prevent a game from turning into a turtlefest if Arion is down to just it's island.
The Battle Of Razor Pass
Attacker: Arion
Defender: The Reich
Conditions: Arion constructs a new Crown Citadel on top of Razor Pass's ruins.
Action: All Reich units and structures are removed from the Razor Pass area and new defenses are constructed for Arion. It will serve as a new spawn point.
Scouring Of The Underlands
Attacker: The Forgotten
Defender: The Reich
Conditions: The Underlands are successfully cleared of all Reich units and Rift is brought to the main area of The Underlands.
Action: Forgotten defenses are constructed, reinforcements are spawned, and it becomes a new spawn point. This is an alternate way into The Reich's stronghold as their defenses are formidable when trying to attack conventionally.
Blooding Of The Red Coast
Attacker: The Reich
Defender: Arion
Conditions: Redeemer, Terrorwing, and Slyver are all brought to The Altar Of The Underlands after all castles have been completed.
Action: The three villains each pray to the abyss for the fall of The Red Coast, that they may finish Arion. Their prayers are granted with a sizable assault force at each of the bridges to The Red Coast's main structure, The Beacon Of Brushtop.
Burning Of The Shadows
Attacker: The Reich
Defender: The Forgotten
Conditions: If The Reich manages to acquire Blarden The Berserker, and has completed all castles, they must bring him to the entrance of The Forest Of Shadows.
Actions: Blarden is known for his firey temper and firey spells. He and his kinsmen attack the forest and seek to burn it to the ground. This will not bode well for The Forgotten as after the forest is razed The Reich constructs defenses and uses it as a spawn point.
