SEN Temple Siege Tournament

Date: 4/10/09 (Friday)
Time: 8:00PM EST
Place: USeast in channel Op Sen


Rules & Regulations
- Single elimination. No Bo3.
- We will all be playing the Tournaments Official Version*.
- There will be NO hacks, spoofs or other starcraft modifications tolerated.
- You are not allowed to purposefully kill(manually attack) allied Nurses/Dark Orbs/Goblins/Satellites for easy exp.
- You may not manually attack allied units for easy/deny exp.
- You may indirectly kill allied spawns with storm/splash. That means you must be trying to hit atleast 1 enemy unit with your attack. Storming an enemy cannon is not acceptable.
- If you end end up with a glitched unit from a spell cast like a Valkyrie, send the air unit to an obscure part of the map.
- If you end up with an invic. ghost, leave it unused at your temple.
- Teams will consist of 3 players.
- All teams must designate 1 Captain (hopefully the most active of the team) to represent them. His only role is to take care of substitutions when no-shows happen.
- The captain of the team no longer requires a SEN account.
- Lane blocking so you can storm your own trapped spawn is not allowed.
- Let me be clear: You won't be charged for taking advantage of anything else that you might have invented and is widely unknown. I don't punish ingenuity and thinking outside the box.

IMPORTANT
Temple Siege 1.4M3 map info - All players should be aware of all the unique quarks in M3 so not to be taken by surprise by anything. Marine has +2, assimilators give less than half of what they did in 1.4MT, 1 second delay on DT teleport, and increase of storm/feedback cost.

This tournament is the last one for the 'old' version of temple siege. So just because of that it will be a champ tourny for all the marbles regardless how many people show up. The winner will go on to vs team Blue Spekled Shroomz, but if they can't get together the winner of this tournament will be the champ by default.

Please specify that "indirectly" means that your target must be actual enemies within the area. The wording now makes it sound like storming is automatically an "indirect" method of killing and therefore acceptable on pure allied spawns.

Definitely a hint that everyone should read up on the buglists.

I'll be going home for Easter weekend and almost definitely meeting up with friends from home... I assume just about every college student will be in the same boat, which means the turnout for this is probably going to be awful.

Also, I need some channel bot help. A greeting would be great that gives info on the tourny, and a link to this in the bio. Who owns president-osama & I_iz_1337 ? Also word of mouth would help too by any pub games you join.

And if the turn out's really bad then I can try again next week, but I'm going to make every effort for it to work this friday.

I have a bot but it is currently in USwest.. if someone could make a USEAST account, and make it UnholyUrine .. that'd be great!!

Also, Clans, I think it is a bit of a short notice.. 1 day notice?? ><".. maybe u should make it Monday instead... or Saturday.. since sunday n monday = religious stuff..

Tomarrow is also good friday, I might go out tomarrow night so IDk If I can make it, Other changes include DT Delayed L1, increased cost of storm and maelstorm I think.

Since I only started seperating changes in the change list with 1.4M4, 1.4M3 would have everything below it in the lumped together changes.

Well I'll talk with Spek and Blu and see if they can make it. This is a horrible short notice, way to go on that. Luckily I will be free then. They should be too it's just a matter of speaking with them. You should really try to give people a week's advance. I work full time and go to school full time and luckily I get off work at 5:30 on Friday and don't have class that night. Anyways in any event I should be there, but next time give a decent notice because I just found out about it a couple hours ago.

Those teams were incredibly one sided for the North.
