Recurring character as Doodan pointed out is more likely to point towards the fact that there are dreams that happen, but in this dream it's a character that recurrs from the previous dream.

Basically, it's unusual to have multiple dreams with the same people over the period of a few days and nights, thus it needed to be added as a story element. It's possible, just not probable.

Abstaining gives the Mafia indirectly more voting power.

Assuming there's a Mafia under the current suspects and many townies are voting differently or are abstaining then Mafia can easily swing the vote so their canditate is not voted off thus nullifying the chance to lynch a Mafian.
Town should always try accumulate as much votes as possible on a single person which then has at least a fair chance to be Mafia.

As for my vote, I'm still unsure whom to vote for, so I wait for more activity. But I will vote later.
