Alright, goofy titles aside, I'm going to try to type a topic on my blackberry (and god is it hardish).
Now then, in some maps (particularly zombie maps) people tend to blind the main unit and move a ling under him for vision during the day, and then remove it when nightfall hits... this is fine except the ocd prone would be quick to point out that you are slower (although insignificantly) during the day. Instead of using a ling, just create and remove map revealers constantly on your unit!
Other applications:
Sight range upgrades
Allowing a player to see up terrain badlands buildings much easier.
Also: I tried creating 255 map revealers at once to do mobile grids without the slowing, but they just stacked, unless someone has an idea about that there's no furthering that thought.
Excuse me if this looks bad it's hard to post on a blackberry!

If memory serves, you'll lose vision for a frame once in a while.
None.
Can you even create map revealers? Create 1 Map Revealer at Anywhere for Current Player doesn't seem to work.
For the vision thing it's probably better to create and remove a small vision unit like an unburrowed spider mine.

I already made a map where you can have variable vision and no slowdown.

Yes, of course you can create map revealers! They used it all the time (I think) in the campaigns (which I decided to play because I lack non-blackberry internet)

Whoops my bad. I guess I was the wrong player or something.

This happens if you create a unit for vision and remove it immediately so it isn't seen.
If it's a map revealer there's no need to do that since it's invisible anyway.
Wouldn't this method destroy any other map revealers you have on your map though?
You could potentially use a visioned computer player for preplaced map revealers.

Kaias and Lethal_Illusion both got a nice concept map showing how to over-pass that problem. They can also explain you very well how it works. I'll probably fail at this cause

I thought you just leave it for a little longer. Something like one more trigger cycle. So add a deathcount.

Complaint: Using Map Revealers causes players to see past obstructions, as if they're and air unit and completely destroys the creepiness of many Zombie maps.

What? You can create map revealers? I've been misled about this so many times. This changes everything.
None.
Well, it wasn't originally possible, until it was added in like patch 1.04, and Blizzard made it easy on themselves and simply made locations ignore map revealers, so actions/conditions with locations don't effect them, instead of just making it so Bring doesn't detect them.
