Stop wars on drugs, instead make it legal and tax the hell out of it.
Fund money used for various wars (drugs, international) to fund worthwhile science.
Kill corporate bullshit (natural resource industry mostly).
Invest in under developed but high potential areas.
Mandatory STD testing for everyone, you got aids / incurable disease -> you go to an island.
Universal / streamlined medical care.
Wipe Israel off the map, as well as North Korea and probably Africa.
Make floating castle in the sky.

I'm looking for more detailed stuff, IP's pretty much the closest to what I was hoping for. Please no wittiness if its not relevant. Just note, though, that it'd be pretty hard to get a country, let alone a continent, to just disappear. More specifics.

I'd start out strengthening government power over the economy, making it abundantly clear that any private business can be taken over by the government if the government deems it necessary. I would greatly increase funding for the space program, weapons-research programs, and energy research programs (like fusion energy) and sponsor the creation of hundreds of massive nuclear power plants around the earth. I would place harsh environmental restrictions on all current businesses and make those get harsher every year. I would institute a system in which the bottom 2% of the earths population, intelligence-wise (based on an arbitrary indicator) would be killed annually, and reproduction would be limited for the bottom 49% remaining to one child per couple. The 50-80% bracket would have a maximum of two children, the 80-95% could have four, and 98%+ would be encouraged to have up to ten. Each child born to parents from the 80-100% bracket would receive a significant bonus from the government. Once the human population would reach the target of around two billion, I would ease this to 1.5% per year and slightly increase maximum, something to keep the population steady. All humans born with significant defects would be killed, because I want a pure gene pool. AIDS research will be limited, because anyone stupid enough to get it probably doesn't have the best genes.

I would work to keep the worlds populations converging towards a single living standard (so, Americas and European standards go slightly down, rest of the world go up), and to do whatever is necessary to keep the population steady in the less industrialized phase (which will last until the nuclear power plants are finished, or something like that).

I would pour a lot of money into biological research into the human brain and into certain problems like cancer, and fund a program to allow me to transfer my consciousness into a computer. I would create a fund that creates special robots (like Eva from Wall-E - I really like that design) with multiple functions, set up seven massive supercomputers (in Canada, Siberia, Germany, India, South Africa, Brazil, Ukraine) which would house my consciousness and all the accumulated data, and when its ready, I would transfer my consciousness to that. These nice little robots would be my nice self in many, many places at once, and would all house a 'lite' version of my consciousness in case something breaks the connection with the supercomputers. And, slowly, investing a lot into research in all areas, I would move humanity forward, putting bits of myself in every piece of electronics and creating the ultimate police state - Mir.

Oh, and I would slowly phase in a universal language, which would be a streamlined version of Russian.

Now, who's going to vote for me? This could be the future!

No offense Centreri, but you're ideas are stupid. Who are you to decide who can survive and what aspects of life are important? Are you even intelligent enough to determine a way to figure out who's stupid and who's not? Hint: Standardized testing isn't going to work. Your world would turn into a bunch of power hungry nerds killing eachother and hating their leader.

As for myself, If I dictated the world I'd just be nice to everyone and we'd chill. Go to a lot of metal shows and headbang everyday. People would get tax breaks for playing in a Metal band, and anyone who let money control their lives would have government intervention to straiten them up and reform them into citizens who could appreciate the simple things in life. Also, everyone would know that I am awesome.

Anyways, if I was world dictator, I would... uh... I dunno what I would do, other than what Centreri suggested... if I forced everyone to become Christian, then I wouldn't be able to distinguish from real Christian and those who were forced into it (and therefore probably hate the religion), so that's out of the question, and trying to make everything communist would end up causing the people to start a huge revolt (in addition to putting me out of my power because a dictator isn't exactly "equal" to the common people)... hmm... I guess I could benefit the world by killing off the elite (and useless) "celebrity" and "super-model" classes, and give good sex education to all the kids from a nice, early age so they wouldn't make the same mistakes that a lot of people do today... I might also ban the corrupt fashion industry, as it's only purpose is to make everyone feel bad about how they look so they'll buy more stuff... if I'm in a bad mood when I come to power, I might decide to kill all the "inferior" races and benefit the gene pool, which would of course include myself since I'm white... meh, I have no good ideas D=.

This is where you lost me. Seriously, you're going to purge people intelligence wise? I think that's just a bit..ugh, I don't even know what to say to that. It sounds like you're playing the role of God or some divine being which is just wrong. Why should you get to decide who lives and who dies? Like seriously, all you're doing is encouraging an elitist society where only the smartest deserve to live. While that may sound like a good idea, I think it's unfair how you don't give those people in the bottom 2% a chance to live. So what if they're not brought up with an education? What if they can't afford one? Like seriously, you're so eager to take lives but you can't give back a life.
