I'm inept in this area, I've already contacted syphon for assistance, but he hasn't logged on too recently. He is my first and so far only choice in this area, and I would appreciate someone else stepping up to the bat and sharing whatever skills they might have from actual photoshopped work to simple conceptual designs.

If I could get a copy of the "staredit network" font, I could possibly get a cover/logo sample going. I have some free time at the moment, and I'm pretty good with Photoshop.

The front page has to make the reader say, "Hmm, this looks/seems interesting enough to read."

Instead of, "Err, just another zine." *Tosses it aside.*

Logo needs to be awesome.
Theme should be consistent.

I might make a quick logo(incidentally I can do better than my sig, I did that in like 15 minutes.)

Did you use the same font for everything? The font your using is good for BIG words, the multicolored article links on the right look like they would look better in smaller sized (and single colored) font. Everything looks double spaced.

Though looking at it I can see that you were using the colors to point out "reviews" "tutorials" and etc. I like that but maybe it can be done differently? Like maybe using that... character... I can't remember what its called but it goes like ">>". OR Maybe have it underlined in that color? Idk It just has too many colors for my tastes but hey thats just MY opinion.

OH WAIT lulz, no your not... You changed the colors even if it was the same thing for popular articles and recent articles...

Idk. It just seems REALLY big to me. Just size down some of the font imo and it will be great.

Turn the planet into the Staredit wireframe and position it differently. Close those huge gaps too.

My idea for a logo was an observer with half of it being a wireframe (digitalization effect)

I think kevin's idea is smashing for an icon.
Make a tiny obs with the half wireframe!!!

Well, I took some suggestions into consideration, and worked on it for 10 more minutes. ;]

However.. Jamal's design is VERY good.... Very good interface and very user-friendly.

No offense but Jamal's looks like a website, not really a magazine. xD I'm whipping up something to show you guys that I'll post soon.
