Hmm, I could actually put a Dark Swarm where the main's peons are and that would protect from outer attack. Might make early game Zerglings unstoppable vs Terran though. Just like half the patches though or something being safe would be good though.

Then go back. I mean, isn't that why you left WB? Leave SEN too, we don't need your egotistical "Begging the question" and "Burden of Proof." You talk about logical fallacies in some vain attempt to Make yourself sound intelligent, when ironically enough, you yourself are a walking fallacy. Gtfo. |

I actually started on SEN, and I know there are some good people here ;P You and Titan, however are very new to SEN.
Anyway, updated map. Guess what children? Protogod's and Titan's theorycraft couldn't have been more wrong, because Zerg have an insane advantage against Terran to start. Jeez, maybe I actually do understand StarCraft a little better? Because exactly what I was worried about happened to be the problem? Anyway, sunken rush will only take away half mining efficiency now, which should balance things out a little. Whether that isn't enough, or it's too much remains to be seen. Testing is required. PS: WHAT A SHOCK, I MADE CHANGES TO MY MAP BASED ON ADVICE (that I trusted)! GUESS I LISTEN TO PEOPLE AFTER ALL =O! JUST NOT RETARDS ;D |

Everyone's new to SEN. The site just got started. If you're referring to the old SEN, then I was there too, I just didn't post much, but I WAS there.
Children? Lol...keep it up, you're fun. Ok, so you listen only to people who don't say the map sucks. I like how everyone you argue with is a "retard". Leave your pathetic insults in middle school where they came from, word of advice. |

I see alot of places where any ranged unit can be dropped off to kill off probes.
Advertising... I haven't seen any helpful advice from many of you, he addressed man y issues he either won't fix or when he does get a specific suggestion, he counters it with the map itself and proves that it may already be okay. Keep in mind, this is a map SHOWCASE. Advice is taken at owners expense. He's probably used to the SEN that made additions to the end of posts. He's been here way longer than you. So have I. We never had retarded conflict like this before, except for when we had retarded egotists come here. I may be indicating that you are starting the trouble. The only reason I justify this post with out any critique or conversation of the map is because I feel since there is no real moderation of this forum yet, and I am one of the few who had some rank in this community. Please. If you continue this argument, you will get more back, what do you expect? Just STOP. If I were mod, many posts would have been edited/deleted and I would have warned probably several times for all the BS that is going down right now. But wait, I do have a relevant thing to ask, Chef, could you respond to my statement directed to you in my last post? |

Sure.
Tell me what you think of those issues. Response 1: Given that there are so many back paths, I don't think Terran are over joyed to start with on this map. If it proves to be an issue, I will alter it (And it'll probably force me to put that mineral only expo somewhere else, since it only just barely fits now). Response 2: I thought about this as a possible solution, but if I were to do that, I might as well just make magma behind those minerals, which causes the map to be tight in a key spot. Plus it was my intention to have all bases be very vulnerable. If my solution with putting half the minerals exposed, and half relatively safe is not enough, I will try to think of a new solution, or just forget about the map (probably the latter, since my interest is feigning and I'm not exactly sure what I could do with it, apart from making the middle blocked off and screwing up pathing. |

I miss the time where people used to make normal melee maps without all these unnessessary terrain add-ons...

If you meant the spells and neutral buildings, then I partially agree.
Square terrain however has been nothing but a good thing. |

Well, yea. I don't see either why people want their maps to be as flawless as possible (taking the "now you're sure NO units can go behind ANY minerals!" example).
It's part of the game, and as some other people clumsily said earlier, the map offers but a very few number of applicable strategies... |

Looks great for Zerg.
Looks okay for Terran. Doesn't look promising for Protoss.

All these nay sayers. Psh. No one can spot something beautiful thing when it kicks them in the face!
I know this map isn't perfect, but it doesn't claim to be. It's a pretty cool map when you think about it, how many people do shit like this and make it playable? Well, I'm not sure if it actually is, since I haven't been able to play on it yet, but it seems do-able. |

We've been pointing out many problems for quite some time now, but Chef is apparently too cool for feedback. This topic should be closed. |

First off, learn to spot sarcasm. I was speculating on how no one has anything good to say about a potentially decent map.
Uh, I didn't say anything about having no idea. Should I have left out the word, "well"? Would it then be more clear on how I was strictly pointing out I couldn't be sure? Don't get me wrong, from not playing it and knowing its a different idea, I can't be sure its gonna work great, but my knowledge of melee is such that this map looks like it could bring some good things to the table despite what flaws it may have. This topic need not be closed. What it does need however, for intelligent discussion's sake, is someone to fucking play the map. Do you think people put their maps up here for shits and giggles? He wants his map played, yet no one plays him when he asks for games, then he's made out to be an ass for rejecting advice. Advice isn't as helpful as it would be if 1) the person has experience on the map, and 2) the person knows how to play the game. Chef's map does put new ideas to use, and he isn't going to change it if someone hasn't made an effort to see how it plays anyway. |
