HAHAHA YOU'RE HILARIOUS!!! But that won't save you.

This concept is not new to the mapping world, sorry. Your layout gives more or less specific data on the heroes, so it can be used to create a new map.

Well, it'd go like this. There are two teams, each has a commander and three heroes. The commander is a builder, he plays kind of like melee. The commander can build the most important buildings, spawn points for the heroes, almost anywhere on the map. Spawn points act kind of like pylons, letting more buildings be built beside them. There are a few vespene guysers around the map which provide income, and the commander must build a spawn point beside the guyser to get the resources from it. Whenever a hero dies, he may respawn at the home base or at any spawn point. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

In StF spawn points act as a place for the computer to spawn moar units. In Impeached's idea spawn points act as a place for heroes to respawn and as a place to gain resources. Fairly different, imo. Edit: One thing I'm unclear on. How do heroes choose which spawn point to spawn at? Or does the commander choose? If so, how does he choose? This seems like it could work, but the map would have to be small-ish because of the lack of lots of people running around. 99% Storm the Fort @Terdy: Well, I have two systems in mind, not sure which would be better. Both start like this: Once a player dies, he has to choose a new hero to spawn as, according to his money/his team's tech level. Then, either: 1. They will have their view centered on their main base, then unload from a dropship or something like that to simply center view on the bottom-left-nearest spawn point. They'll unload from the dropship to choose a spot to spawn at, which can be the main base or any other spawn point centered on. 2. Spawn point placement will be restricted to say, one at each guyser (4 on the map) and 4 at other places. Then, the heroes will be spawned at a 'minimap' area, where they will go into bunkers which appear for the allied commander whenever they have a spawnpoint at a corresponding spot. Again, like you said I'm not sure whether I will make this because of the 'damn 8 player limit '. It still could be fun, perhaps I could add commander-controlled but AoS-style auto-attacking armies, that heroes can order around. But then it'd be so..typical.
