Details
- The contest starts approximately August 1st. It finishes approximately August 31st, midnight, PST. Check the countdown timer to see how long you have.
- Any map made within the last couple of months can be submitted, or a map that has had not much work done on it. Obviously, you can start working on your map now.
- The map must be of the RPG genre, or similar.
- No mods, no EUD Enabler.
- Judging will be based solely on my subjective opinion. We all want to play RPGs, and we enjoy making them - so let's make some! You should look at the prize as a bonus. I don't care about 'fair', I don't want to put mappers on some ordinal gradient, I just want a bunch of great RPGs to play. Let's not fool ourselves with all these templates and ratings you see in other comps, judging maps is a qualitative not quantitative experience.
- Things that will impress: innovation is always good, pushing the editor to its limits like creating a shooter type thing like RUSH, or screen tiles like Fallen Memories. Extended terrain is nice, and systems! Spell systems, item systems, character progression, boss battles dynamic monster spawning, day/night, shuttle/dropship menus, in-depth storylines, puzzles, eud, vhp, dds, etc.
- I would like you to post weekly updates on your map. I would like you to tell everyone what your plans are for your map. This will not be enforced, however.

How will I get it?
After I choose the winner send me the details I will ask for and then it will get shipped out to your address/PO box.
I will make every stage of the process visible (I can black out personal info) so no one can accuse me of foul play if something goes wrong.

What will increase my chance of winning?
* Don't make a shit map.
* Actually finish the map. I'm sick of seeing strings of incomplete maps that had so much potential.
* Innovation can be good but a really polished map with zero innovation can be just as good if not better.

My 3 Hour RPG isn't on the inspiration list; I am disappoint.

I'm in! Not donating minerals this time unless I have any to spare from the memrise thing.

I'd like to be the first person to submit a map, it's called Tenebrous RPG. I'll give you my weekly updates via my changelog.

My plans for this map include heroes with spells as well as bosses with spells. Also I was thinking about having the map revolve around a small clan of fuzzy bunnies who live in a meadow. Sound good for the storyline?

I feel confident in assuming he doesn't care, and that you should do whatever you need to do to produce an excellent map.

Large file sizes are relatively meaningless if you put your map in the DLDB and make one of the force names the download link.
