So I made my mom a calendar for Christmas. She wants me to make a quilting calendar for her friend for christmas. No problem (it'll get there a little late, obviously. Don't point out the obvious dumbass). However the problem really lies in that she wants me to make a calendar that has something to do with math for my former math tutor. And since I special in cute things, this is obviously causing a problem for me. So. without plagiarizing other people's works, can anyone give me some ideas? I'm thinking that I should do something witty with the dates on the calendars since they're numbers. Improper fractions or something. o.O

Describe every date as an approximation using irrational and/or non-base-10 numbers. e^iπ + 1 = 0 is a fun relationship to use.
Choose a month where you only label the days whose numbers are in the Fibonacci sequence.
Alternatively, place the numbers 0 through 364 (one for each day) around a circle and describe the date as the number of radians away from 0 the current day's number is.
Be sure to include excessively curly integral symbols.

Just make a bunch of cute +s and shit. Stick with what you know and apply it to math.

Why not just make a regular calendar? Just because they're a maths teacher doesn't mean their entire life revolves around maths.

Relate each date to an event in the history of math? For example, ground-braking works being published, mathematicians being born and dying, etc...

Put the days out of order and make the tutor solve equations for each of them. >:3

Make it a binary calendar.

Its an order from my mom for her friend. So whatever my mom thinks it so have I should make since she's paying. xD

I suggest you do a combination of a few of the suggestions...

Go wikipedia-style and find out the exact date that Binary was first conceptualised/invented/used/or beeped out of a machine. Then dedicate a month to Binary and fill it with random binary facts, display everything on that page in binary, etc.

For another month, I dunno maybe do the Fibonacci sequence for another month and have some random facts relating to Signor Fibonacci who nearly invented a type of pasta.

Pythagoras for another month. Or just triangles in general.

Basically devote each month to a certain aspect of mathematics and voila.

(Or since you evidently know so little about maths, and - I presume - are making this for a Maths Tutor? Just take the piss and display your absolutely non-existent knowledge of maths by making a joke of the whole thing... I'd much rather recieve a calendar that made me smile than one that contained random mathematical facts in it. If you do choose to go this road, I suggest you read up more on Signor Fibbonaci.)
