Op SEN is a place for mappers to hang out, make, and test maps.
I don't read the news and I don't care what's going on, but anyone that isn't part of whatever lame tournament going on is just being thrown out like trash.
WTF?
That's the FULL story.
And now, an important piece of advice:
Get another channel.
Max and Iceman are in the channel. The status of our channel just went from nooby to complete shit.
Clans runs the tourny, if you have complaints, you speak to him.
I actually don't think it's a good idea for us to boot people from our own channel because a tournament is going on. I see no reason why they can't all be in at the same time.

There really isn't enough room with all the teams and subs and Heinermann was basically telling them to get out when we've specifically sanctioned this event, thus he was banned by Clans.

Actually I was banned for calling Clans some random insult after said complaints were ignored.
If I have complaints, nobody will listen. That's just the way people are apparently.
Forgive me for the pointless topic. Feel free to delete it, ban me, and turn this community into trash.
Because at Staredit.net, mapping comes last.
BTW, is there a channel where mappers can go to discuss maps? Can't seem to think of any since Op SEN just vanished.
Stop being over dramatic. Its one day for a tournament.

Ehh... Since it was pre-planned and "sanctioned" (better term would be reserved).. I don't think CAFG, or the way this was done, is particularly wrongful.
Tho i'd suggest that the tourny be held at another channel next time, and that heiner shouldn't be banned (unless he kept rejoining the channel after you've told him to stop/kicked him to continue insulting you).
There is another channel.. the yummy, delicious, gustible channel named donuts
None.
Hosting tournies in Op SEN is pretty much our way of advertising. Moving it to another channel defeats that purpose.
If it matters their should have been a different clan channel used for the w/e tourny but whats done is done and if they move the channel right now it might ruin the tournament with the sudden last minute change with new people coming in trying to get information on the tourny or whatever and then nobody wins. Although I mean at the same time I don't see the need to complain at....that degree for something thats going down for one night.
tl;dr best course of action is just letting clans finish and from then on the regulations for tourny hosting sanctioned by Op SEN should be changed. (Not using the sites channel as the tourny channel k thx)

I also don't agree with this, I would rather go with a separate channel. Can't you have some on join message telling people that op sen is our real channel if it means that much?
If nothing else, a new channel could be made for people who go to op sen for any other reason and they can be respectfully redirected there.
God I hope blizz pulls their head out of their ass and make an awesome channel feature for sc2.

Ok, I admit I was a bit over the top, but try to move it for next time, although that could just be wishful thinking.
I really think that if we aren't going to hold them in Op SEN, the hosters have no reason to host their topics/maps here. Yes its an inconvenience for a few hours. So what? We can't deal with that in the name of getting SEN's name out there? It's always been done this way, for the past what? Two or three years of TS tournies? And now for HS as well. If they're moved out of Op SEN, we lose out.
The Egg Ball Tournament will also be held in op SEN.

Thought this may be true, the tournaments originate from this website, so we're really just preaching to the choir.

A lot of the players Clans brings in with these are new to SEN. I really think its an easily bearable inconvenience but I'll look into what we can do for later tournaments. Any tournament that already has a portal topic will get to use Op SEN. So we have like two more to go I think.
What's with the weird name changes.. some new AoS or RPG i'm not aware of?
Might as well change my name to unholysemen.
I don't see the big deal about having it all in Op Sen..
first of all, the tourny is organized on www.staredit.net already, so people going to the forums will most likely know our channel.
secondly, as people have said, we can have redirections from bot greets. But since we're sooo against bot greets, guess this won't work.
Lastly, by now, i'm pretty sure TS players know about Op SEN (since i put the channel in the friggin' map)... Heinermann wouldn't post this thread if there wasn't a problem with how the tourny affected the channel. I'm sure other people have felt the same way, and that it isn't an individual problem. So, there must be a comprimise.

You're advertising to dumbasses who live to play TS. I don't know about you, but that's not the kind of crowd that I would want to attract. And, so many of those people are banned from SEN (Max, iceman, etc), so it's not really "advertising."
