Carrymode Singed?

I figure some of you might care to know that HoN is entirely free now (except for cosmetics). Every Hero is available from the moment you start a new account. IIRC, the price was the barrier of entry for some.

I don't play HoN anymore, but if anyone wants to give it a try, I'm available to teach/play in a party. I think NR and Cardinal might play once in a while, but I dunno, it's been a few weeks since I've logged on.

I am so god awful at HoN and I'm too content with LoL to try and figure out how to learn HoN. Are there even tutorials or something? If so, I can't find them in that clusterfuck of a homepage.

The homepage itself just has guides for specific heroes. You'd have to take a look at the forums or check google.

Also I think when you got a solid grasp of how to win in LoL you should do alright in HoN. However you'll need some time to learn denying, the ward spots and heroes. And I think it's a bit more strategic as there's fewer spells with higher cooldowns which means you need to make your spells count.

ARAM pretty much always existed in HoN in the public game section, just the way it did in LoL. It's called midwars in HoN. It became so popular that it S2 made it an official matchmaking game mode with a map specifically tailored to midwars and special banning/picking mode.
When using the matchmaking variant I've never seen all players randoming. They just pick normally after each team bans 3 heroes that may become imba in the midwars mode. If you want to force randoming you can still create a public game though.

It's like monobattles for LOL. I play it when I don't want to feel bad after I lose

So today I learned that Blitzcrank and Malphite go hand-in-hand together against an AD Carry + (Not alistar) at bot lane.

You don't even need the Blitz there to shut down an AD carry. Malphite just counters AD carries, no questions asked. A good ranged poke comp would probably shut that down, though, provided they can avoid the grabs.

Even worse, what the fuck is that image originally saved as? It sure as hell wasn't a .png to begin with, unless you reduce the channels on purpose.

That's exactly what he did. It's a palette based 8-bit PNG so the image is smaller. Apparently not everyone knows that JPG is much better to compress images.

It's somewhat refreshing to be playing at lower levels again
