Hello

So, I know there was a "Who will make what when SC2 is relased"-topic (or however it was called), but sadly this seems to be about smaller maps like Bound and Controls, therefore this topic:
are you planning on a bigger project for SC2? If yes, why not post some information? :)

So I'm planning on a single player 1-unit adventure with many abilities, fights and items, your unit will be a protoss sentry (image:http://www.sc2armory.com/img/protoss/units/sentry.jpg ) as a secret protoss project, did not yet decided on a real story, but the main ideas and bosses are already set :) It probably will use a skill-points system.

So, what about you?

Just here for the activity... well not really

Don't quote me on this, but after reading the UnitData, heroes and items will most likely appear, appealing the RPG makers.

I have a lot of unfinished maps just sitting around in my map folder. I think I might remake them in SC2. The RPG I was planning to do for the RPG contest would probably be made in SC2 also. But I don't know if some concepts would stay the same.

I like how you can push units in the way of your path. That would probably be taken advantage in some sort of map by someone.

I can't really plan a big thing until I see what I'm making it with. However if I make a map it will definitely be an adventure of some sort. I also might be a little creative and not totally rip off games and paste them on SC like I may have done a little in the past. You can guarantee my game will have a storyline of some sort and be a third person shooter. I've been a good horror game maker but making a noob horror game map = it being dumb and not scary. Resident Evil or some other zombie game might be my first choice but due to lack of mods in the beginning I might make something totally different. Zombies as Protoss zealots in Starcraft 2 isn't gonna cut it.

It'd be nice to move away from the horror genre a bit anyway and come up with my own things

Who knows? I'm excited about it though =)

BTW if I get the time and a decent computer, I'll make a zombie/horror file pack for mod/map makers.

How about you make a remake of sc1's Pikmin, Olimar?
That the Pikmin player has no vision made it too difficult for pubs to play so it never got popular, but I quite enjoyed it with some friends.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

I'm going to redo the year-long RPG contest entry I never finished. It'll be weird, though, since none of the mechanics will make sense since everything can be done like WC3 and better. So I have some planning to do.

Either way, it'll be a long single-player RPG.

And then I'm gonna make "Don't Look at the Dot!"

That will be my second project, I am going with The Thing first because overall it is simpler, and I want to get a hang of it before I move onto something a bit more complicated... I don't even know what the limits of the editor are or how noob-friendly it will be yet. :ermm:

Let me show you how to hump without making love.

Making a Role-Playing Game/Defense hybrid, as I am known for making, sort of the concept within Pirate Dyne, but expanded much further and into the infinite realms of possibility. If it is indeed possible, I will program every unit to have it's own individual AI, special effects and the like for a variety of game style. Expect me to combine the Nighthawk and Thor models into a bunch of mechanical walkers. It will be awesome.

This is my idea:

Multi-Player Dead Space where the players are members of the Crew of the USG Ishimura before the infection starts, and the players can work together or fight alone (And most likely die) to kill the infection after it begins. When players die, I'm thinking of making them a slasher, then slowing evolving them into a brute if they don't die. (When all of the crew dies game is over.) Players would be able to make custom weapons from a Bench and then there will be multiple stores.
And the tram! :D I may even have it where the crew meets with Isaac & friends and escapes the ship as the end of the game. Will use credits-points for store/bench. Credits to purchase items and already made guns (Like the Pulse Rifle) and then Power Nodes to make custom weapons or upgrade the ones you already have. Four weapon maximum in holding, drops from enemies and such. Wow, that sounds like a good idea. I wonder if you could even have it in SC2 where you can shoot the limbs off of other units and disable them.

Definitely making this when SC2 comes out. Epic idea for a third-person futuristic space horror shooter. I wonder if you mixed the carrier with the battlecruiser and had it as a terran looking-ship if it would resemble the USG Ishimura.
The final boss could be a epic battle with the USM Valor.

I read of this game a while ago and thought "hey, sounds great, gonna check it out some day". Then when I did want to check out I forgot its name and obviously put it in the wrong genre - I remembered RPG - so I just couldn't find it anymore...
Now months later you mention it and I immediately remembered. I'm loading it right now - thank you again! :D

Well, I've been dying to make this idea for months now.

A hardcore-coding, awesome, epic remake...

...of Pokemon Red.

At the very least, it will be a 3PPoV with full-detail environments and a flexible camera -- you'll be able to look around, unlike Nintendo-made 3D PKMN games. And the battle system... That's gonna be difficult to code, but so worth it.

Why?

If the game's able to run this kind of thing, I'm gonna push it way beyond the kind of detail in the Nintendo-made 3D 'Mon games. Yes, combat'll be turn-based, but it won't look turn-based! The 'mons aren't gonna just attack and then jump back to their neatly-organized "assigned seats". No, the battle will continue -- there'll just be a freeze-frame during move selection. There's gonna be dodging, aiming, as many battle animations as possible -- the works. And (and I really hope the game can support this) you'll be able to save battles as replays, so you can watch them later without the pauses -- one continuous stream of Pokeymans beating the hell out of each other, real-time.

When Houndour uses Bite, he ain't just gonna growl there with his mouth shut, while a pair of massive psychic fangs slam down right in front of his face, and then five meters away, the target is knocked back by air.

When Diglett uses Dig, he isn't just gonna pop out of the ground at his "assigned seat", inflicting damage from five meters away and knocking the target back horizontally with an attack that's supposed to be landed from below.

Full detail. FULL. I will stop at nothing to achieve battle animation perfection.

I have massive and probably impossible ambitions that may well be way beyond my abilities.
