[2017-1-15. : 3:51 am] NudeRaider -- Pr0nogoPr0nogo shouted: NudeRaider instead of asking what's wrong with the old rules try asking what's right with them; i.e. what do they offer to this community, how do they make this community better I feel like this rule was never there to make the community as a whole better. Pr0nogoPr0nogo shouted: aw man i missed the annual discussion of stupid rules nobody follows anymore It's actually not a bad idea. If you feel like the circumstances have changed that's a valid reason to reopen discussion.[2017-1-15. : 3:06 am] KrayZee -- The new administration might repeal that policy, which will put SEN at risk.[2017-1-15. : 3:05 am] KrayZee -- How effective was the Cracking Down Unprotector Policy? It was proven controversial among newcomers, but appreciated by the community.[2017-1-15. : 3:03 am] Pr0nogo -- this guy had to make a thread that, if some mods had been on while he made it, would have been locked or deleted as opposed to having his problem solved[2017-1-15. : 3:03 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I'm pretty sure nobody has had trouble finding unprotectors[2017-1-15. : 3:02 am] Pr0nogo -- a ban on the tool required to unprotect maps is effectively the same thing as a ban on unprotecting maps if you have no prior knowledge regarding unprotectors and can't learn because there's a ban on it[2017-1-15. : 3:00 am] Moose -- If we're going to discuss what the rules do and don't allow, at least actually read them. [2017-1-15. : 2:59 am] Moose -- Really, the only restriction is on sharing unprotectors. Nobody cares (and nor do the rules) if you crack a map in private to learn from it and never release it. That isn't reasonable to enforce, anyway.[2017-1-15. : 2:55 am] Pr0nogo -- from my perspective i see no benefit in a ban on unprotecting maps; I have never seen a benefit to it no matter how large the community has been, but it should be especially apparent that it offers nothing of value when it's impeding the end user experience as well as stopping the creation and curation of educational resources for future mapmakers[2017-1-15. : 2:53 am] lil-Inferno -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: lil-Inferno I don't think you can put an expiration date on the policy to respect a mapmakers rights. Why not? Intellectual properties enter the public domain w/e years after the author's death. Why should the same policy not apply to maps whose authors haven't been around for forever, and will likely never return to the game? They may as well be dead.[2017-1-15. : 2:52 am] Pr0nogo -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: also demon whats your gripe with old rules? instead of asking what's wrong with the old rules try asking what's right with them; i.e. what do they offer to this community, how do they make this community better[2017-1-15. : 2:51 am] Pr0nogo -- aw man i missed the annual discussion of stupid rules nobody follows anymore[2017-1-15. : 2:46 am] jjf28 -- there were some casualties, some marriages, and in the end everyone just kinda died[2017-1-15. : 2:46 am] KrayZee -- What happened to the diplomacy with foreign interactions with SC2 Mapster and Team Liquid?[2017-1-15. : 2:43 am] KrayZee -- Studies show when the 'Uncensored Words' Act leads to less bad words written out in shoutbox and forum posts than when they were censored.[2017-1-15. : 2:39 am] NudeRaider -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Didn't Devilesk become like, successful in life or something post-SEN? didn't most members, post or otherwise?[2017-1-15. : 2:35 am] Moose -- Didn't Devilesk become like, successful in life or something post-SEN?[2017-1-15. : 2:35 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- jjf28jjf28 shouted: SEN is on fire, it's burning, all the jenkins builds are broken, the blue balls are turning black! I read that as jenkem builds[2017-1-15. : 2:29 am] KrayZee -- Trump would probably put devilesk as global moderator. If he comes back.[2017-1-15. : 2:28 am] jjf28 -- SEN is on fire, it's burning, all the jenkins builds are broken, the blue balls are turning black![2017-1-15. : 1:31 am] jjf28 -- Mini Moose 2707Mini Moose 2707 shouted: Ya, it's like making an illegal meme, which would itself become a meme LMAO don't need to make the meme illegal, just call it a hate symbol[2017-1-15. : 1:25 am] Moose -- Ya, it's like making an illegal meme, which would itself become a meme LMAO[2017-1-15. : 1:20 am] NudeRaider -- "Since it is a 128-bit numerical value, it was dubbed an illegal number." - the audacity ...[2017-1-15. : 1:19 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- it's stupid to try and make a number illegal. Like compute 13,256,278,887,989,457,651,018,865,901,401,704,639+1 and oh fuck, you broke the law.[2017-1-15. : 1:17 am] NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AACS_encryption_key_controversy it's always funny when people try to remove information from the internet.[2017-1-15. : 1:16 am] Wing Zero -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: no. like 3 pubs play it How the mighty have fallen[2017-1-15. : 1:15 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AACS_encryption_key_controversy[2017-1-15. : 1:13 am] NudeRaider -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: NudeRaider They've tried making it illegal to communicate a number in what context?[2017-1-15. : 1:11 am] O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- wat, isn't TS the only thing the swarms of 12 year olds in donuts play?[2017-1-15. : 1:10 am] NudeRaider -- Dem0nDem0n shouted: NudeRaider We're discussing it now so w/e k.[2017-1-15. : 1:10 am] Dem0n -- FaRTy1billionFaRTy1billion shouted: Dem0n is TS even protected? Also, there are so many versions of it people would probably just be like "this ver sux" and not play it Literally like only Inferno and I play it[2017-1-15. : 1:09 am] Dem0n -- NudeRaiderNudeRaider shouted: Dem0n Dem0n aight, if that's your point of view why don't you formulate a post and officially petition to change the rule then? Contribute instead of complain! We're discussing it now so w/e |
