That's a good idea lol, Maybe just no theme... Hmm But is that really smart? I don't want abunch of people to get angry because they're maps are different category's and have different playability.

Keeping a list of contestants is pointless. As I've said before it will only be a record of the embarrassment that will occur when you only get 3 entries when you have 50 people listed. Look at the previous contests for proof of this.

So I know how many maps to expect.
Regardless of how many people
say they're going to submit a map, you should expect around 6 maps. That's a liberal estimate.

Its all about psychology.
If anything it's only going to be a negative thing, because after the contest people will be able to compare how many people said they were participating and how many actually made a map. And it will be like OMG 1000 people said they were going to enter but only 3 did!
Even better. People will realize that they can win just by submiting a map.
But they still won't, and they'll never win when I'm a participant anyway.
And if people start doing that then the quality of maps will just go down. They won't even bother working on it, and they'll just submit anything.

Then its a matter of one person being better than the others -- without having attitude.
Sure you could say one person is better than another, when they get 2/50 over 1/50.
I wonder how many people are going to make the map I'm making... I bet there's atleast 1, but who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if half of the people did mine.

Love the theme, but I'm busy with my own maps right now, and I don't want to add another to my list of projects, however, I will donate 300 minerals,
if this contest ends up not being the same map turnout as the last one.

Sorry I don't think that would be fair or cool. The whole point of the contest is to see who can come up with the best new map in a short space of time. Thank you for asking though.
