You're still going on about it. Galileo wasn't able to prove the world was flat just by showing a picture. He told them what the picture meant.
Obviously based on how you present evidence, I can go ahead and say you're a Mafia suspect and quote all of your posts without explaining them.

Actually, you said it yourself that you were hostile when I started the vote against you. Not only that, those posts WERE hostile to me as well. You're losing credibility Devilesk.

Every few days, I log on to see half a dozen reports coming out of this topic. Since I'm not keeping up with the game, I'm sometimes uncertain if I should delete or edit posts in case they would interfere with the game. I'm closing it for now so the reports will stop. Moose shall deal with the issues as he sits fit. Keep your B.S. in PMs, please.

We live in a society.

Wow. This is unexpected, to say the least.

Listen. I understand Mafia sometimes gets to be a dirty game, but we have to be civilized here. Whether or not devilesk is unfit to play is my decision. If I deemed devilesk unfit to play, he would not be playing. NerdyTerdy's bitterness seems to be a major factor in these arguments. But, I make this post because I am sure others have the same concerns. His crimes in SEN Mafia 2 were punished. They were punished satisfactorily as determined by me. Whether or not you think so should not be affecting this game, nor should you be enforcing the rules yourself and disrupting this topic. As for his tactics last game, I will certainly agree that they were underhanded and pissed me off. BUT, they were not against the rules in effect at the time. I am God in this game and I determine who plays and who doesn't. If you don't like it, you either have to leave or deal with it.

Last, his chronic flaming is another issue for me to enforce. Not you.

Back to now. This a new game. This is not SEN Mafia 1. This is not SEN Mafia 2. This is not SEN Mafia 3. This is not SEN Mafia 4. This is not SEN Mafia 5. This is not SEN Mafia 6. This is not SEN Mafia 7. This is SEN Mafia 8. I implore NerdyTerdy as well as everyone to put all previous games behind them, to play SEN Mafia 8, and to allow me to enforce the rules of both Mafia and SEN as I see fit.

Wow, I leave you guys to your own devices for, like, two three hours, and there's like five four and a half pages of flaming and spam, a suspension, and a temporary lock.

@Moose: How long is devilesk's suspension going to be? While he does lack self-control, he was useful in Mafia 7.

Now that we've got all of the unneccesary headbutting bullcrap out of the way, can we actually start playing the game now, guys?

Sep 20 2008, 9:38 pm DT_Battlekruser Post #292

I'm trying to keep the noise to a minimum and making as few posts as possible, so this is what I have to say from the previous million pages.

Quote
Someone else posted farther up that this could have been via burrowing, I like that interpretation. It may point to Darkling and/or Hug_a_Zergling.

I like this interpretation, too.

Quote
Care to explain why? I'm not sure that I understand.

Hail-fire anything consists of letting loose a ton of rounds (usually rockets) into the air without a definite sense of aim.

Quote
"With the discovery of gold in the foothills" points to the gold in his name

Seriously, not.

Now, I think three things:

-I feel that by his actions in the thread, his interpretations, and other hunches and feelings, HailFire has exonerated himself. As someone said earlier in this topic, the first bandwagon is wrong, and I couldn't agree more in this case. Therefore, I issue a call for HailFire's sparing.

-I agree that the conjured beam could be a reference to Kevin. Kevin is probably my #2 suspect right now.

-But, I was talking with various people, and I came across a startlingly original interpretation. Tassadar/Zeratul is an Archon, and Archons have an attacked that would certainly burn through someone's chest and set everything else on fire. It's not the most direct interpretation, but first night clues are never that obvious. He also, like several other people, quietly made a post or two in the topic and then again dropped from sight. Time and time again the mafia have avoided lynching by keeping a low profile, and I think mafia can be more easily found if we goad the inactive into public disclosure. This is a bit of a long shot, but I don't think he's a real potential asset to the town anyway, and I have a bit of a hunch here.

This plan has the approval of Mayor ;) :P

Therefore,
I change my vote to TassadarZeratul and I encourage everyone else to as well. There isn't a better choice right now, and we need to start lynching likely suspects. I have a few others, but TassadarZeratul is my pick for today.

Not long. I understand that each player has importance and potential.
I can only be so harsh when a player is legitamitely set off.
I can only be so harsh when a player is sticking up for his own life in the game and goes overboard.

The idea about the archon is good, but the range of the next house is uncertian. It might be a good hundred feet away, and thats well out of the range of an archon.

Being the "next" house would imply it is nearby. And archons can do some serious splash damage.

Sep 20 2008, 9:43 pm Lingie Post #296

True, but its also said that this is an Agricultural town. Like a farming village. That would explain what I'm thinking to be hundreds of feet or yards away. Farm houses aren't cluttered like a rural town.

Firstly, I appreciate your confidence in me. It's nice to see that there are those open to reason. ^^

Secondly, although I had put this aside earlier as a bit of a weak link; a High Templar's (such as Tassadar) favorite weapon tends to be a lightning storm, something which could explain both the cause and location of the initial roof fire.

Edit: Going to play AO with my brother now, try not to piss Moose-God off again while I'm gone.

Edit2: Why the hell hasn't Farty updated SCDowngrader with the 1.15.3 patch yet? :><:

The only Templar that ever shot, was Tassadar. He shot precise Psionic blasts. But, if you consider SC, the Psi Storm may or may not light a roof on fire. However, Tassadar is in TassadarZeratul's name. Possible connection.

Woah, what? EPIC FAIL. For one thing, Archons do not have beam attacks, their attack looks more like opening a portal in the enemy. I suppose that that could blast a whole through someone's chest, but then it would rip them in half and would not spell out "Owned".

Secondly, how could an Archon vanish into the ground?

Third, I haven't been posting because I'm making a machinima. For English class, believe it or not. I'm re-enacting various scenes from Lord of the Flies. (Long story.) I can give you guys the files for proof if you want, but you will need to load flies.mpq with MPQDraft to run it. Other things that have been taking away time are my webshow and RPing on the BattleOn Forums. (My username is AryaMechKnight.)

EDIT: And I'm not Tassadar, I'm Tassadar/Zeratul. So I couldn't use Psi Assault.

Sep 20 2008, 9:51 pm Greo Post #300

After a long day of work, the citizens of Moosetown finally decide to go to sleep. The town is mostly agricultural, but something else has been growing with the harvest this year.(1) An infiltration of mafia has been living among the town since the beginning, continuously plotting for an eventual mass murder and takeover of the town. With the discovery of gold(2 in the foothills surrounding the town, the mafia decides that they must reveal their presence and begin their purge of the town.

The prime objective is to break the leadership.(3) The majestic mayor's(4) mansion sits in the middle of the town, a symbol of order. In the middle of the night, the roof of the mayor's mansion catches fire. Villagers rush in to try and evacuate the building and search for survivors. However, the town's efforts are poorly coordinated(5), allowing the mafia to charge in alongside the town, unknown to them. As the villagers struggle to open all the doors of the large building and investigate, the sledgehammers and tools(6) used to break open doors are brought upon the heads of the townspersons. The combination of the burning building and the murderous infiltration kills all of the rescuers.

The mafia stand outside and admire their handiwork. However, they do not see Mini Moose 2707, the mayor. When the fire started, his reaction was to grab his trusty shotgun and climb out of his window. "Who are you?" demands Mini Moose 2707, cocking the shotgun as he courageously approaches the mafia. "We are the mafia" replies the nearest mafia. Moose charges at the mafia and pulls the trigger. However, the shot spreads harmlessly through the air because the mafia has disappeared into the ground.(7)

Right before the battle is about to intensify, a light appears from one of the mafia. The light goes straight through the chest of Mini Moose 2707, killing him and setting fire to a house behind him.(8) Their mission complete, the mafia retreat back into hiding to plan the next night's attacks.

Upon waking, a shocked town tries to piece together exactly what happened. Upon examining the corpse of Mini Moose 2707, it is noted that the word "Owned" is burned through his chest.(9) Three chunks of his flesh, presumably the middle of the "O", "e" and "d" were found as well, given that no flesh was there to support the inside part of these letters. The remainder of the corpses are buried and a word of a great meeting in the town hall is passed around. All of the town crams into the town hall. They know that the perpetrator is among them. It is decided that one of them must be killed in revenge for the destruction of the previous night.

(1)Who here is a farmer? Points to Hug a Zergling. Pilgrims, after all, are farmers as well.
(2)Probably points to Devilesk's gold name, or something yellow/gold.
(3)May be a clue.
(4)This is definitely pointing to a member of MM.
(5)Probably commentary on last game.
(6)Tools may point to the spy (WoAHorde) or the hammers could point to... someone. Don't really know.
(7)Probably points to MadZombie. Undead can go into the ground, anyways.
(8)Would seem to point to DT_BK or KrayZee, but Yamato doesn't pierce through.
(9)Could be pointing to Merrell (NO U), but I just can't see anything about this. Maybe it's much more simpler than we think.

I'm voting Hug a Zergling for the time being. I'm not expecting anything really complicated at the moment, so for now, simplicity is key.
