Idk. I know it's his taste in music, so whatever floats his boat. To each man his own, etc. I just think some of those bands are just really crappy and he probably hasn't taken much time to listen to good music. He seems to just listen to bands from nowadays because that's what kids like, without putting much thought into it.

You can not be sure of that unless you knew me... There are some reasons why I like them.
I do admit that the music I listen to is not beautiful in any way.

I like stuff other than rock and classical, but not in the same quantity, so that doesn't come to mind as easily. For instance, I like Jazz, but not any specific artists really. I also really like some Sinatra stuff, I should get one of his CDs... I have a very encompassing taste in music.

True story. Went to a Newbury Comics and got a Godsmack and Beethoven CD. The guy must have been like WTF. He commented something about it but I can't recall exactly.

The only reason why I do not listen to those groups is... Well! I preffer the ones I currently listen to.

I really should have started with IMO when I said that earlier. I just hate that acronym. And yeah Lynard Skynard is really good; they have some great songs. (Free Bird and Simple Man come to mind in particular)

Everyone likes Incubus, and keep in mind I have at least one song on my computer from all of those artists. I just don't listen to em much. It's an eclectic mix.

I have a really limited number of bands I like.
Classical:
Several artists from Baroque - Romantic. Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven.. those are the major ones. There are others, too.

Rock:
American rock, really limited. Serj Tankian, SOAD (like.. I like maybe two songs), Linkin Park... about it.
And, there is, of course, Russian Rock which my parents listen in the car. Hell, I don't even know who sings it, but I love it. My favorite Russian bands are Smash and Plazma, both of which, for some reason, sing primarily in English, though Smash also tried French.
