- Behemoth

I only like one song of Behemoth - Conquer All. I was a fan of it for some time even though I strongly dislike black/death metal. I even learned the main riff and the solo.

My musical tastes are...eclectic, and you people probably won't care for them :P My favorites are
Billy Joel
Dire Straits
Meat Loaf
Tom Lehrer
Chopin
Various video game music, especially Motoi Sakuraba and music from the Touhou Project games.

That's mostly what I listen to...I see no particularly pressing need for a music collection larger than a third-world country :P

Boatianity: A philosophy developed by Jesus Christ involving winboats and failboats. Those with lots of win are winboats. Those with lots of fail are failboats. Those in the middle are boats. Lends itself to epicness, such as 'May the win be with you' and 'The fail is strong with this one'.

I recently switched my MSN ID to Centreri@Live.com. ADD ME IF I CARE ABOUT YOU.
July 18-on (for a bit more then a month, too lazy to look up exact date) I shall be on vacation in Russia. In other words, my access to SEN will be limited and I will probably be completely unable to participate in map night :omfg: . However, don't feel sorry for me. While you're playing SC I'll be speaking to crazy Soviets, so I'm going to have a great time. KEKEKE.

I like baroque or something....

What do you like about the early composers? (before the romantic era.) I've tried hard, but can't seem to really get into music before Beethoven.

Some of Mozart's stuff is amazing... how could you not like him if you like classical music? (He was a bit earlier than Beethoven, who was more a classical transition into the Romantic Period than a Classical composer). I like Bach too, his organ music is insane. Although, I don't see how he is really a fan of Hydan or Handel. They each have basically one really famous piece (Four seasons and Messiah [Hallelujah Chorus] respectively), and other than that not much. I don't even particularly like Four Seasons, and I find the majority of Hydan's stuff to be pretty boring. As for Handel, I don't really like anything he did, it's too old. JS Bach is the only Baroque composer that really transcends the extra time gap for me (iirc).

Best CD's (Aside from things made by the good artists listed.)
Wasting Our Parents Money (A Capella)

Best Songs (Not listed)

Favorite Genre
If it wasn't obvious, my favorite genre is classical music. In particular the romantic period, although before twelve tone technique became popular. I liked the thematic emotional development. Such has not been seen in almost all modern music, where songs generally take on one or two different feelings in a single song. (It's either a happy song or a sad song.)

Aside from invoking an emotional spectrum, I enjoy a song that has purpose behind it. I like artists who's lyrics are about real world problems and who talk about societal issues, rather than about a hot chick, or being in love. I loathe almost all of those love songs, and one would need to have an incredibly catchy riff for me to consider it well made.

I also enjoy artists that strive for an original sound. That is who incorporate different instruments / rhythms / feelings than normal bands.

Great, great music selection.

You should try 'The Go-Betweens', with their songs such as 'Streets of Your Town', 'Clark Sisters', and 'Devil's Eye', as well as the duo 'Simon & Garfunkel', whom I'm sure you've heard of. The Cat Empire are great, I'm surprised you're the only one who listed them.

I'll post my list soon.
