Man I just read this and I'm quite interested in SCA, but damn.. it looks like a lot of work to get it going. SCDB was so straightforward, why is it that SCA requires all this extra stuff with TrigEdit++ and setting 6 DCs and whatnot? I feel like a dummy looking at it and barely understanding what I'm reading :/ Admittedly, I'm skimming, but implementation of SCDB was so elegant and easy. Are there any plans to make SCA more easily accessible like SCDB was before?

Is there an SCDB implementation guide floating around somewhere? I actually vastly prefer it due to its timeless nature. (SCA will become defunct as soon as the servers shut down.)

SCDB has a problem with it's functionality where the data doesn't get loaded properly. For that reason alone, I wouldn't recommend using it.

To integrate SCDB, you would need to use EUD Editor 2 and enable SCarchive in plugins. After, simply use the SCA save/load t riggers in TE2.

Now you can add SCA to your map much with ease using EUD Editor 3's Classic Trigger Editor. No need to follow the guide I posted.

What do you mean, like it's a bug? Can't it be fixed?

I imagine more like won't be fixed since they've moved on to SCA at this point. I agree with your reasoning for wanting to stick to SCDB though. I'm not worried about people hacking data files for my maps, I just want my maps to be able to work regardless of whether some server is up or not.

Just an FYI Lifebot your SCA link is old now. It points to 0.5 but it's now up to 0.71.
