I am excited for our current development project. We have recently arrived at the large research facility, and my recently assigned team has already mingled with the veteran researchers of the building. This facility seems like a perfect fit for us, and we will truly be accomplishing something great here. I will most definitely not be writing daily as I would like, as there is an incredible amount of work for my team to accomplish in the coming weeks. DevliN seems particularly interested in the project, and Aristocrat has some incredible ideas he wants to discuss with the local engineers.

I'm at a loss for words. Not one week after arriving on site, our facility has been destroyed by what appeared to have been a controlled explosion. This was no accident; someone intentionally sabotaged the place and released the T-Virus; I'll have DevliN look into it. The building has apparently gone into lockdown immediately after detecting the airborne chemicals of the destabilized laboratory. Fortunately, I overheard the discussion of Umbrella sending a team to help clean up the mess. I hope they have prepared enough vaccinations for those most exposed by the virus.

It appears as though my dear friend and former inspector DevliN did not swing by for a chat this evening. After fighting him off, I realize that I am quite likely to have been infected by the T-Virus. Worse yet, rumors are circulating that the Umbrella Security Service team that has been sent to "clean up the mess" is targeting all survivors of the facility, but there are no witnesses to confirm the theory. There must be a way to save DevliN, although it appears the infection has consumed him entirely. I should be more concerned for my own safety at the moment. Declaring my infection status would just paint a target on my back for the Umbrella team, so I should try to remain discreet about it. Perhaps the engineer Aristocrat will know what to do.

I can't sell out my friend DevliN yet. Aristocrat had informed me of his own personal strategy to survive, and even demonstrated it on one of my colleagues, xAngelSpiritx. How terrifying this man is, willing to kill someone without hesitation. He pledged to do the same to me if the virus consumes me. Echo seems to have had a similar experience to mine from a former facility manager by the name of lil-Inferno. I did not know this man personally, but he sounded to be in the same physical state as DevliN from what Echo described. If we are to survive, we need to prevent the infection from spreading. I need not concern over Echo, as he worked directly with the T-Virus and knows how to properly treat it. I have found another virologist by the name of Sacrieur, who I have recently informed of my status. He does not have enough of a vaccine to cure me, but he can prolong the inevitable.

I found an individual with a fascination of computers, going by the name of TiKels. He, as well as a man named Daddywhoo, seemed to have some control over the facility's doors and database. In the database, I found a list of researchers on the T-Virus, and the only one I knew to still be alive was Lanthanide. I contacted him immediately, and after describing my situation, he agreed to swing by with Sacrieur to vaccinate me. This is indeed great news.

I'm feeling quite faint. I'm beginning to lose motor controls, and it also becoming more difficult to write. I'm expecting the virologists to arrive soon, but I fear it may be too late. I wonder if DevliN is finding another victim tonight.

I awaken feeling rejuvenated. The virologists must have arrived while I was unconscious. I visited Echo and saw that he indeed was still human, though the pathologist poison_us warned me that the T-Virus was very much still inside him. I contacted Sacrieur and Lanthanide, who were again willing to help cure a victim of the virus. I asked hypothetically about someone consumed entirely by the virus, and they believed it was not possible to restore them. I will not give up, DevliN; there must be a way to save you.

A man by the name of Dem0nS1ayer was killed yesterday. He was believed to be working with the other security personnel in the extermination of the survivors. As with many of the people here, I did not know Dem0nS1ayer very well. I shall not judge people by what they say, but rather judge them by their actions. It's what DevliN would do.

Norm claims to have been bitten; there's no doubt in my mind that DevliN was behind this. However, my staff insists that Norm is among the dispatched Umbrella Security. I have instructed a pathologist by the name of OlimarandLouie to inspect the blood of Norm; for safety measures, the team of virologists have designated Echo to supply Norm with anti-viral drugs to prevent another Zombie creature from existing in our facility. Regardless, we should be able to determine who Norm truly is by the time the results come in. Finally, it appears as though Aristocrat is on his own vigilante mission, and he eliminated a man known as Mp)HellFire. Mp)HellFire seemed like a trustworthy person to me, and he remained in contact with me with valuable information up until his demise. Could he have really been part of the Umbrella team?

It appears as though the most outspoken advocate for Dem0nS1ayer was the target of today's execution. The man's name was Excalibur, and while he kept mostly to himself, his support of the safekeeping of Dem0nS1ayer ultimately affiliated him with the Umbrella team. With Excalibur gone, I officially have records of everyone's original responsibility in the facility. But could that be? Umbrella must have deployed more than two or three people for this situation. Perhaps I'm trusting someone that should in fact not be trusted.

I've left an open invitation to meet with a member of the Umbrella Security Service. I shall wait for his arrival in my room. I want to trust that nobody here is after the lives of the innocent, but without confirmation, I cannot rest easy. As soon as I am done with this entry, I shall store the journal in a safe location outside the vicinity of my room. I will face the enemy and attempt to reason with him; he's likely someone I already know quite well, and he may be willing to listen. For safety measures, I will conceal a knife on my person, but I know I'm no match for a trained soldier. Hopefully it won't come down to that.

It was surprisingly difficult to recover this journal from where I stored it; how unfortunate it is to have left a day undocumented. Apparently the hacker group is properly facilitating their abilities, and I had been sealed off on the previous night. From what I've heard, it appears DevliN is no longer an issue, and the virologist that helped cure me, Sacrieur, suffered a similar fate. I realized I was literally inches from death, as my voting console appears to have been rigged by some type of explosive. I don't know how to dismantle it, but just by observing it, I can see it's wired to detonate if I select Norm. One thing I found odd was a little note jammed in the console, reading "You suck, man. Sincerely, Norm." What's the meaning of this message? Did he somehow know I wouldn't vote for him? Who else has been in my room without my knowledge? Who can I trust?

I've been having trouble sleeping as of late. I realize there wasn't a way to cure DevliN, but it never registered that he's truly gone until just recently. Of the team I was leading, it seems only my engineer is still alive, and the rest of the survivors were part of separate divisions. I'm surprised by the rationality and relatively positive attitude they all still seem to have. I'm not complaining by any means - Aristocrat has enough crazy for all of us. It's a good thing he's my engineer.

I was awoken by the intercom system, which I'm surprised still works. It came from a voice I didn't recognize, but he mentioned my name. He also seemed to advocate the trustworthiness of poison_us. I've talked to poison_us on several occassions, and while I don't understand most of his lingo, it sounds like he's been working here for a long time as a biologist. My console seems to be failing at the moment, as it lists three more people as deceased, including Aristocrat. That can't be right. Aristocrat had a plan.

I've consulted with poison_us, and it appears as though Aristocrat is really dead. I briefly gave all the information I had to poison_us and returned to my room for the remainder of the day. I picked a person at random on the console, I don't even remember who. I feel alone. First DevliN, now Aristocrat. I have no one to trust anymore; any of these men could be working for the Umbrella Security team.

It seems as though the survivors wanted to kill Daddywhoo, the computer guy working closely with TiKels. I can only imagine they had good reason for doing so, but I personally never saw Daddywhoo as a killer of any sort. Hell, he probably couldn't even throw a punch properly. Tonight I'll have TiKels play around with the doors of the facility and see if that gives us any information on the people sneaking around. Assuming we resolve the Umbrella threat, how are we going to vacate the facility? Another hacker, ImagoDeo, has been working on unsealing the exits, but so far he's had no luck; apparently it requires a password that he's been unable to work around, and who knows how long brute forcing it will take. Perhaps we can have one of the researchers look for the password.

I did nothing today. Nothing but stare at the console screen, searching for Aristocrat's name. I must be going mad, for I could have sworn for a second I saw it pop up. Then again, I could be mad looking for a name that shouldn't be there; Aristocrat is dead. Out of all of us, he represented the best chance of survival. What chance do I stand? I'm not strong, not witty, not sneaky. I have friends - supposed friends. Even among those friends I have someone with the desire to kill me. Still no progress on opening the exits; a researcher by the name of Raitaki recovered a password to cancel the lockdown. I went to visit his room, but he wasn't there at the time, so I just grabbed the Post-It note with the information. In doing this, I have found myself on the wrong side of tonight's door sealing. I'll send the note over to ImagoDeo when I see him next and see if it does anything.

My console is broken. Aristocrat's name shines on the screen, though that's quite impossible. I wonder if there's any other lit names of people who are actually dead. I sometimes feel like I'm the only one left alive in this desolate facility, but the murder of my friends reminds me I am not. I keep thinking back to when DevliN and I first arrived at this facility. He told me a joke, though I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. I could use a laugh right about now.

I set Raitaki's Post-It note next to one of the laptops as preparations for tonight's sealing takes place. The two computer hackers, TiKels and ImagoDeo, assure me that we are sealed from where most of the survivors reside, but I still hear the sound of footsteps as I close my eyes. Damn you, Umbrella.

Aristocrat swung by today. He truly is alive! I asked him the details on it, but he drew a blank expression and said he didn't remember what happened. In fact, he wasn't even aware that he was missing for the last 24 hours. It's truly a strange happening, and I wonder how this could have happened, if not voluntarily. I boldly theorized it may have been some chemical injection, although I'm not a chemist by any means. We agreed someone with expertise, namely poison_us, should do some type of verification on this.

While it seems reasonable to be concerned given the current situation, the remaining survivors of the facility are becoming as mad and blood-crazed as the Umbrella team we're fighting. The key difference, however, is that they will listen to reason. I talked them down from lynching the computer expert TiKels. After this whole event, TiKels himself has picked up a sense of paranoia, and he's now working to gain complete control of the weapon systems. This seems like a good idea, but should such power be in the hands of one person? Moreover, why does it seem like I'm the only one keeping rationality in this place? Is there something wrong with me, or are the rest of them just overly sensitive?

TiKels has made no progress on controlling the weapon systems. Also, those passwords Raitaki found for us didn't seem to work. They're both so absorbed in their individual work that I don't think they did the daily sealing. I want to know more about the passwords Raitaki found. More specifically, where he found them and why none of them work. I think I'll pay him a visit; I suppose it's actually a convenience the doors aren't sealed tonight.

I look over this journal with mixed feelings. Half of me wants to laugh, and the other wants to vomit. If I'm to do this again, I'm going to pose as a pathologist, as reading my ignorance of chemistry is painstaking. As for the rest of my team, well, I suppose they're not necessarily the best for blending in, which is why I volunteered myself for infiltration. With everything as it is now, I'm slightly concerned we may not be able to complete this job. Aristocrat is certainly the most fit for survival; it's a shame Umbrella decided not to recruit him into the program because of his... questionable past. However, having me be the project director for his team proved invaluable, as we now have a wonderful level of cooperation. In fact, I'm on good terms with most of the survivors here, and since Dem0nS1ayer did very poorly in neutralizing the facility with force, I'll have to take the stealthy route and turn them against each other. That shouldn't be too hard; they're doing it without me anyhow.

I've spent all of today gathering my thoughts. During this time, it appears as though the survivors activated the weapon systems on TiKels, a man I had saved not one day earlier. That's truly a shame; I wanted TiKels to stick around until the end. Alas, Aristocrat is an influential man, and once he sets his eyes on a target, he won't let them go. Fortunately, his targets have all been innocent, and I expect this pattern to continue. The job is expected to be finished by the end of this month.

This is truly a remarkable crowd of people. They choose to execute a person and act like it's nothing. I'm actually growing quite fond of those that remain. The sad fact is that I am going to be thrown onto a new team with nobody I know, and I'll have to bank on their competence, which as this project turned out to be, is usually not up to my expectations. Once the survivors are all killed, I'll follow through with my final instruction from Umbrella before returning. If there's one thing Umbrella loves about me, it's that I will be returning.
