"Next one" implies it is from the same cloth as the "current one", which it is not. That will be something totally different and unrelated to this series of contests.

i feel like a retard asking this but i don't clearly understand the "theme".

By "over the top", would work some giant walking piranhas, then go jump from giant burning buildings to then finish blasting everything out? I feel kinda confused compared to the previous contests themes.
Or if someone can explain me a bit I would be thankful.

I revived these contests with the intentions of having them be a week long - enough to finish a decent map. Stick to the tradition and don't mess it up by extending it to months and making the theme "campaigns", that amount of time is what the 1 year RPG contest is for. If the latter does happen, someone please host a week long one that can co-exist with it because not every mapper knows how to mod, or wants to make a melee-style campaign for that matter.

Who the fuck makes a melee style campaign? It's the same shit as making another UMS map. The only thing all the negative attitude towards campaigns tells me is that nobody here has any creativity and can't create a decent storyline/dialogue. Y'all can go fuck yourselves. :-_-:

And it's not hard to mod. You could learn how to change music/portraits/background pictures in 5 minutes. Hell, I could show people how to do that.

In other words, a contest that is a month or longer and involves modding and campaigns can co-exist with these week-long ones that are for mapmaking, but it can't replace it. When and if someone hosts that, they will have to do it separately from this particular series of contests.

I'm not trying to replace it (it would be a one-time thing), but I don't want to host it while another is running. There'd be no point if all the mappers are participating in one of the contests because they obviously won't be in two.

And my shit wasn't going to be a month. I was planning on making it a 3 week (maybe 4 at the most) contest for mini-campaigns. Obviously I don't expect Brood War II or something (not like anyone here has the creative span to create such a thing) of that nature. I think it'd be fun, but everyone else here is like, "no campanes r gey.'

There are people in multiple contests though, and there are people who this contest doesn't appeal to that would enter yours. You should start yours now, set a 4 week deadline, I'm sure it'd have at least as many entries as these contests do (that is to say, roughly 3).
