Cardinal is what you know me as. Most people see the religious reference and have preconceptions and prejudices forming. But, it is the internet and that happens everywhere you go. The reason I am called Cardinal is more to do with the latin root of the word.
I have extremely bad memory. Whether this is due to poor concentration or some underlying medical condition, I will never know. It is just a part of me, deal with it. So, a google definition will help us progress from here:
Cardinal: serving as an essential component; "a cardinal rule"; "the central cause of the problem"; "an example that was fundamental to the argument"; "computers are fundamental to modern industrial structure"
The latin root means (in it's most literal translation) a hinge. Think of a door. It needs a hinge. Otherwise it won't be a door would it?
My favourite reply to this topic has been Excalibur's first one, regarding Inigo Montoya. I love Prinecss Bride. And all other literary works by S. Morgenstern.
I am surprised by the number of fellow British / people who live in the United Kingdom that frequent these forums. Add me to their number.
I however, am not British. I have two passports. I was born in South Africa but emigrated to Scotland in 1996... I am a student, I am currently unemployed. I do have a girlfriend, she's Finnish, which is cool. We have been going out for nearly 2 years now... shit, that reminds me... need to buy a present!
My advice for you, if your girlfriend says 'oh, you don't need to get me anything (for Christmas... for Birthdays... for Anniversaries...) do the opposite.
I am currently working on a solo-RPG, it is called Shattered Lands. Search for it in the Map Production thread.

I play classical guitar - the pinnacle of my skill has to be Classical Gas and/or Bach's Bouree. Search for these on Youtube, make sure you find 'Guitar' versions - so you understand the painstaking effort and time I put into practicing.
I tend to ramble. Finally (I hope) is a list of computer games I have played since 1994. Mostly chronological, not a complete list by any chance.
- Lost Vikings - yes, I started with Blizzard. And I am here to this day owning in Starcraft 2.
- Sid Meiers Civilization - the first one. Awesome... I am considering ordering Civ 5 when my next student loan comes through.
- Warcraft: Orcs and humans - again, another Blizzard classic.
- Dungeon Keeper - really fun game.. the sequel was nice too.
- SimFarm - anyone else played this classic?
- Sim City - the first one.. wow how things have changed... also delved into most sequels...
- Halflife - the quintessential first person shooter
- Caesar 2 - really nice city-build game... preferred Pharaoh though... still play it sometimes
- Counterstrike - around 1.2... continued until 1.6 on Steam - never bought into Source.
- Starcraft - the best game on this list.. on any list... I am willing to wager..
- Morrowind: The Elderscrolls 3 - my favourite RPG
- Stronghold 2 - similar to Caesar but in a Medieval setup... play it occasionally...
- Pharaoh - amazing game... revolutionary in some respects... addictive too!
- Warcraft 2... my first foray into mapmaking...
- Starcraft - the best game on this list.. on any list... I am willing to wager..
- Morrowind: The Elderscrolls 3 - my favourite RPG
- Warcraft 3... again, mostly for the map making. Never played a melee match in my life. I bought the expansion purely for custom abilities.
- Tribes 2 - the best purely multiplayer experience I have played to date... unbelievable..
- Dungeon Keeper 2 - really amazing game. I'd reccomend it to anyone who is feeling slightly nostalgic.
This list is about 50% complete. It also does not take into consideration any Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Nintendo 64, Golden China, Sega Megadrive or X-Box consoles I have owned over the years...
I do ramble... don't I.
Edit: I type at an average of 100 words a minute. This post took me about 8 minutes... Excluding this edit. You must factor in the time it took me to think about games I played and loved.
Edit 2: I forgot the basics.. my first name is Cecil. I am 6'1 tall, I weigh 80 kilograms. I speak conversational Afrikaans, German and Russian. I think SEN members are unusually tall.
