Implementing this skin at this time was a terrible decision as it could have used a lot more work before making it public.
Man, I have to disagree here.
I think the new skin sets the tone quite well for the upcoming release of SCII. Of course, it still needs to be worked on, but I don't see how this would be in any way detrimental to SEN's overall growth/stability/random stock word for internet soul.
The important thing is that they're actually doing something, and once the stone gets rolling, usually things get done, and I have faith in that (cause that's how I roll, I either don't do any shit, or do a whole bunch of shit altogether).
What I
DO want to point out is that the new system, with more focus on the community services (i.e. SCII and SCI Contests) is a HUGE Improvement, but has been called for a long, LONG time ago. Personally, I wish that all the community stuff be done first before before all those skin improvements and such (maybe add carbonite/epic back on for those people with poor-ass computers or people with rich-ass smartphones) - i.e. have like a well implemented system for Minerals and those Contest Points (btw, great idea .. tho could've used a more original name). Right now, it is still lacking an official system. EDIT: Tho I'm sure it'll work sooner or later, it'd be nice if it'd work now.
I'm not saying that the staffs aren't doing a great job, because they are... but I still think some focus on other areas are needed...
None.
sure some more focus is needed and I'll repeat it another time:
devlin, apos and I are currently redoing SEN skins of 5.0
Don't worry.

Wait, where is the Tutorials forum?
None.
We never added it in favor of keeping the Wiki. Otherwise why have the Wiki if it just contains the same stuff.

The aesthetics and style of this section is a vast improvement. Quite sexy.
This, on the other hand, looks bubbly and stupid and doesn't fit with the header above. The title font color also switches to an unappealing yellow and the text should be vertically center aligned within the box it's in, or at least not positioned so high. On an unrelated note, "Staredit.net Funtions" should be changed to "SEN Functions". The font you use looks terrible when
bold.
I like the new contact/online images, and the metallic feel to them, however, they should be closer together and should hug the user title more tightly like so:
None.

None.
Epic skin is now back online:

Now on to finish Carbonite and start the SENtv skin.

The Hydralisks body over laps on the "settings" link in the top right. I personally don't mind but I just wanted to point it out.
None.

I was really looking forward to using the skin that was
supposed to be used
JamaL finished it here:
http://www.staredit.net/topic/9086/1/#192162It was the first custom skin made before all the custom ones were added, but it was supposed to be used for the next SEN because it wouldn't fit the old skinning method. I think its way hotter then this simplistic hybrid.
Edit: Also, Auto-url now overrides url bbcodes? had to disable it for the link below the image.
Edit2: Lol, disabling Auto-url's does nothing... Had to resort to not using the url tag

I like how I've made the exact same criticisms before.
Also, I never liked Epic in the old version, but for now it's a VAST improvement over this abomination of a skin.
None.
Just here for the activity... well not really

This please.
In no avatar mode, there's also an unnecessary space where the avatar used to be.

The above skin looks far better in form and function than SEN's present skin. There's no unappealing aesthetics, the skin is relatively minimalist, buttons and layout are clear and concise. I don't feel like I'm swimming through sticky, hot, melted ice cream while looking at the news page.
Granted, the present skin has more organization thanks to the tabs, but I feel that the tabs are poorly implemented and not appropriate for a site frequently visited by people playing both StarCraft and StarCraft 2.
The recent contrast/saturation changes are pleasing, though I feel more improvements can be made.
I like the tighter avatar spaces. Otherwise, stuff looks improperly aligned and unclean.
I actually forgot about that skin, poi, but I will implement it once the system is perfect.

Magic box god; Suck it Corbo
To be honest I like Syphons skin. Maybe its just me being a fan of blue but with some work I think it could look really good
Once I've done the system I'll get spyhon to it or at least create a template so I can implement it.
