Can they not make up new characters?? I recognize wesker and the guy from gears of war.
I played the demo and it was pretty lame.
Such as, in the beginning there were flying things destroying everything, then once we landed, we fought them and one hit them. Pretty stupid. And that's just one example.
The demo goes like this:
-You and your team of 4 land in some forest like place
-Their are a ton of flying creatures when you unload off the boat
-these creatures act as 'birds' if you will. they attack RARELY and can be one hit.
-You travel up to mid level of the FIRST level for a fight with a higher tier creature/mini boss fight
-You destroy it and move into the the last stretch of the level, their are a ton of these low tier creatures that are slow and only mediumishly aggressive.
(you can run right through it until you reach the end zone, the end zone can EASILY be confused as some playstation 1 "don't go here/map ends here" barrier)
-You finish the first stage and you get a grade based on points and such
-SECOND level starts and you fight the same type of creature that you fought in the first stage as he comes out form the ground in a surprise attack. Ez.
- their are 6~ heavily aggresive raptor like creatures that are extremely agile. Fucking medium tier.
- If you ran through it and get to this stages end zone you end up fighting rolling, armored, 'armadillo' like creatures. fucking low-high tier
-End stage 2
-Stage 3 starts
- Gigantic amphibian-dinorapesaurus comes out of the water. Supreme tier.
- Most if not all weapons in the game are available here( I assume), including the robot suits.
- Blow up his back, legs, and tounge. Then after you've throw every rocket launcher and V5 version of shotguns and assualt rifles you jump into his body and try to destory his 'core/heart' or w/e. His digestive fluids constantly push you towards his end parts. It's possible to get eaten and NOT destroy his core in the first try so he poops you out through his teal(?) anf you need to try to get back inside his body.
-Also his insides are filled with the pods that produce the creatures seen in the first stage.
By the time I finished this Demo I thought this game was fucking win. I enjoy epic boss fights and this demo left me wondering what kind of hideous and gigantic creature would be the stopping you from completing this game. I'd imagine it would involve shrinking your self to directly take out the creature atom by atom with Robotic suit with Akimbo V5 Nuclear war heads. Or your bear hands. I enjoyed it. Really, the thing that makes Lost planet decent is it's creatures IMO. The guns were nothing new. They had things like shot guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles and Rocket launchers. I think that's the only weapons they have except you can fine V5 version of the weapons. a V5 Assault rifle is essentially a minigun. a V5 Shotgun is more like a flakgun, etc etc. But the creatures are awesome. The mini boss creature you encounter twice is fun to kill and almost seems puzzle like how you have to aim for certain parts of creatures (this idea is used for most creatures I'm going to assume after playing the demo). The way the raptor like creature dodges also makes things better. Constantly having to aim for it's head while it dodges my reticule is nice to see since that is hardly ever done in other games. At least in the degree this game did it.
tl;dr if you are looking for a game that you wanna waste your time on for it's campaign. I'd do it.
Also for somereason when you play co-op in the demo the third or second player who joins your game gets to be the unit who has a sword so I assume their are different types of unit types you can play as but since it's a demo I guess they wanted to limit it to one player per team and someone who plays a certain slot? w/e
The science is a bit weird. Everything that lives is made out of yellow gelatin. And you collect it... and if you switch your grenades you can throw this stuff but i'm not entirely sure what the point of throwing creature juice anywhere helps with anything.
tl;dr for the tld;dr
No newb. Their is more to it than that.
None.
