I hated RuneScape; but back then (Even today) the most common way of getting rich is either to mine over 9000 coal, and find someone at Varrock in World 1 that would more or less hand you hundreds of thousands to millions of gold. Someone I knew mined coal straight for one whole week and became a millionaire.

And yeah, I agree that RuneScape is just an MMO full of chores.

Jagex got sued for being too addictive, that's funny.

I am having a wonderful time with the game (I have completed all the F2P (Free-to-Play) quests) and I am liking:

• using a female character
• "seducing" those who do in-game dating
• getting them killed (UBER PWNAGE!)

By the way... when you want to change how your character looks, here's the 3 spots you need to know (works for F2P and P2P (Pay-to-Play/Members)):

(using prices I last known they were)
Gender (1,000gp):
Just southwest of Falador; can choose body and face type.
Hair style (0gp):
Falador - just north of the bank in the west; cut or magically grow hair.
Default Clothes (1,000gp):
Varrox - just south of the fountain square; Clothes you wear when the section is not equipped.

i remember i used to play this game but i only got to level 5 or so. i did all the holiday events so i got a bunch of holiday stuff, though. once i found this guy drop trading (i think thats wat its called) and i stole like 250k in gold but i gave it away since i stopped playing.

Lol. Ok I play RS off and on, but used to play it all the time back awhile ago ( until I got SCMDraft ). I am a filthy rich noob on the game and don't know why, but no matter how many times i've droped like 3M, I always went back to it eventually. It like mind controls you ( not anymore thanks to Starcraft ) - the cure to MMO addiction

It died a while back from inflation and the removal of the Wilderness PvP style, however, I saw it lately and the graphics have greatly improved, and they've fixed inflation, also, if you're a member, it gets extremely easy to earn money, and the game is no longer a chore, other than perhaps training, once you hit like a million, you simply use the Grand Exchange to buy items at minimal price, and then sell them for about average price. Marking >:)

Honestly, what it comes down to is having friends on. If you have friends playing, Runescape is fun, because even when it's like a chore, you can chat with friends and you have something to chat about(the game), this is how every MMORPG pretty much is, unless you get some friends to play it, whether they be online-only or RL friends, it's gonna get boring.

Runescape is actually pretty fun if you play it from its quests perspective.. And it has music pieces that are simply classics...

Other than that.. it's pretty bullshit, and sucks the life out of you. I wouldn't recommend it.. :\

I started my account in like 2003ish? and I stopped playing it a year later only logging on occasionally for the holiday events. Then a couple of years ago I got a membership for a few months in runescape and arcanists so I played it often but now my account is dormant again. My username is the same as this one but with a 234 at the end. I was the original Wing Zero in SC AND RS but I forgot the pass for them .
