I couldn't agree more with everything rockz is saying. M8 and 3.x were based off of M7. If the money glitch is in 3.4, it's probably still in m8. As far as defilers go, I think m8t has defilers completely fixed. Moose has known for a while about defilers being created for MIA players.

If people couldn't report 3.4 glitches here then M8 would never have gotten the volt lv3 fix.

Rockz, you need to play LM more often. I don't think many players would really agree with what your saying here.
What don't you agree with? Obviously melee units have a hard time going up against a glass cannon, since they have to get close, and getting close usually means death. Almost every character has a way of dealing with LM. Marine in particular is VERY good at annoying the hell out of both mages. His l3 is probably enough to kill a LM in 2 hits after you hurt him a bunch, which is what you get during the cooldown (LM L1, rine is right up next to him, l3, wait, shoot, shoot).

I don't play LM because I suck at it. I play AGAINST LM all the time. I lose a lot too. I also win a lot. My point was that it's based on skill, and so far, I find it balanced. I will say its pretty gay to be able to cast 5 level 4s in a row with warrior with full mana. Obviously you can't win easily against a LM with full life (from medic) but that's been pretty well nerfed now.

Also, m3.4 was based on m3.

Hmm there's a lot of information here that I can agree with and some that I see reasons to argue against, but I haven't played TS in 3 months plus so if nothing else, I'm out of touch with the community. On top of that, it's not worth my time to help balance a game that I'm not playing and that the mapmakers don't seem too concerned with.

Dear Temple Siege,

Production of M9 and subsequent versions is now officially in the hands of ClansAreForGays. Given personal issues that I'm going through, figuring out what to with my life, playing too much Modern Warfare 2, and other stuff that's going on IRL, I don't really have the time to dedicate to Temple Siege any more. To tell the truth, I haven't played TS in a good month or more. It would irresponsible of me to the TS community to say that I see myself advancing this map in the foreseeable future.

I did have plans for this map, but they will most likely not be realized. I was never in this for the credit. There are people who, right now, have more time and motivation to care about Temple Siege than I do. So, I entrust the map to ClansAreForGays, and more importantly, to the Temple Siege community. It's been fun and one hell of a ride.

I feel obligated to post epic replays.

I'm red (rine). Blue (bat) is a certified pothead and dies quickly. Teal (DM) is quite superb, but dies. Purp is mech, ends up me vs him. Green (mutant) died off pretty quick thanks to maels. Oj (DT) sucked for the most part due to me being rine.

Premise is that it's a 1v2 with both my partners dead, everyone has l4, and I went all mana. That means my rine has 800 life max, vs a 15-20 up mech l4. What with dodge being ridiculous, I end up dodging most of the l4s (missed one :(). OJ is useless near the end since I can kill him in 3 hits via dodge, or 10 rine hits, and I can see him at night with sci. Since he's useless, I think he ups spawn and starts making units after simming the map. I manage to fend off the initial onslaught with my l4s and massive armor, then proceed to become invincible by upping hp and making cannons to protect my reavers.

Purp made the comment "Never have I ever had an entire game turned around so much by one player".
Green dies at 14:00ish
lots happens at 30:00
again at 45:00 (I dodge 2 mech l4s, lol). Also I one hit OJ sometime around here. Purp was tellin him all endgame to get hp and defense.
at 50:00 I have so much money I don't know what to do with it all.
I ended the game with over 7500 exp. Had I realized I was that close, I would have farmed another 1500.

awesome replay, though its safe to say that Spec Ops, with its range and splash attack l4 l1, is best at defending the temple from spawn and quickly gaining the upper hand. I've had many games where either I or the enemy was the player standing as rine. 90% percent of those games the rine won.(That 10% are certain games when the rine doesnt realize he can just rush temple and win). Either way, awesome replay. I got a replay that i might wanna share, but im not sure if 1.5d replays are allowed :O.

I would say that the main reason you won that is because you simmed early and they wanted until green was dead before simming. They lost valueable cash and you had 2 near escapes because of it rockz that I saw maybe more since I had it on 2x and missed part of the replay.


If that replay Does anything It exposes both how bad it is to feed your opponent when the can obviously defend against all the spawn and also Show the rine needs a casting delay either before or at the end of his L3 which is too powerful without it.

ARGGHHH!! We lost that because OJ was a complete douchebag. Guess who was the Mech.

I think most people are going to agree, the Spec Ops L3 is pretty noticeably OP. I don't think anyone aside from DM can survive 2 point blank range Weapon Barrages from a Mech, until M8, where Spec Ops got his L3 upped. Some players felt like the Archer was really Op because of his L2 or L3, which I commented Rockz on in a previous game today. DM vs. Archer, I still won, and after thinking about it, it's not as bad as Vatiel and I were saying it was.

The Spec Ops on the other hand is pretty retardedly Op. Spamming L4 and using L3 he can win almost any game as long as he survives long enough to utilize them.

Yea poor purple had the bigger group of idiots. He had the game won even with green pathetically trying to kill red and teal. But when oj created spawn that is what really screwed up purple. Until then he had everything under control. I'm still puzzled as to why green thought it would be good to go in and kill the dm who hadn't died instead of letting him escape and escaping himself instead of suiciding to his last life to kill teal once lol.

Just popping in to say it looks like M9 will be done by the end of the month. Also wanted to broadcast the changes so it's not so big of a shock, and senners that play ts will have a heads up. M9 will be more different from M8 than M8 was to M7.

(in order of importance)
Multiple Heroes - each team will have separate selection areas where they can pick w/e they want regards of what the other teams picks. Each team can have the same hero, but a team can't have more than 1 of that hero. Players will not be able to see what their opponents select.(it will also start off in night like v1.6)

Enemy spawn +1
- Replaces spawn number upgrade. Cost is 3 civs(team). Each enemy lane produces an extra spawn.

Spawn HP - Replaces Spawn Level Upgrade. Increases all allied spawn starting HP.

Warp Building - A purchasable building that will warp you back to base.

Purchasable Overload - No speed or carry upgrades. Assasin Lv2 will kill it.

Temple Heal - You are no longer invincible at temple. The heal trigger has a cooldown of 7 seconds. The area of healing is also very distinguishable now through terrain.

Warp Gate capping - You will now visibly see your progress on the amount of time remaining for capping via the warp gates HP. It will start at 50% HP. The gate's HP will inch closer to %100 for north, and 1% for south. The % will freeze, not reset, when capping is interrupted.

Spawn Gates - take an extra 100 seconds longer to respawn.

Mission briefings - will serve as a sort of community bulletin board about TS tournys and rankings.

Hero Changes

Archer - Lv1 will use Disabled Mutalisks that stack when moved via triggers. They can also remain hotkey'd. Lv2 will work like mutant lv2, but with hydras. Lv3,4 remain, but only due to lack of a better replacement.

mutant - remove Lv3 spell channel.

assasin - remove lv1 channel and add recall to spell effect.

Summoner - Ling speed comes with Lv2. Ling attack comes with Lv3. Ultras are unaffected by spells, except assasin lv2.

Assault - lv1 drains (slowly) again. Nuke returned, ghost cannot load into bomber.

volt - nothing

spec ops - mine capping returned(less refund). possible revamp if time allows.

Mech - Speed returned. Lv2 now fires while moving only, but will not obstruct path.(its really awesome)

DM - feedback can be cast instantly. recasting doesn't remove original, just heals and resets energy.

Warrior - nothing

Medic - Lv4 gives 8 hp levels(instead of 5). -1 (or -2) attack upgrade. Lv1 now creates 1 medic near each allie for 4.5 seconds.(so its global)

kinda wondering how this works, like how many hydras? hydras have range, so you wont have to be right next to a hero to still hit them. seems like it will be a lot easier to hit than mutants l2
