I do like Predator as an initiator though, I was able to carry a team with my initiation before the change, haven't tried since. People are cowards most of the times, and if you go in first, they'll follow. With stoneskin, you can basically beat down one of their team for 5 seconds without getting disabled.


I play AP because it's the quickest and fastest way into a game, and easiest to start. If more people were interesting in playing RD, I would totally play RD. But no one ever is, just like how no one never likes playing 1600+. I ask you to play with us FaZ, but you never do.

While Electrician is an OK initiator, I wouldn't call him one of "the best". Plenty heroes out-do him.
Legionnaire, Tempest, Behemoth, Magmus, etc.

... That was the entire point of my last like 5 posts. Every time I play AP people are terrible, it's nothing to brag about. And yet you guys keep playing AP, where people are often terrible, and keep bragging about it.

Shredder go post on the HoN forums "Electrician is one of the best initiators in the game." and see what you get for responses. He's not even remotely good at initiating, you have zero clue what a competitive game looks like and I'll just stop there.

9460392. This was the latest one i played. This wound up being a complete massacre on our part, mostly because a swiftblade - keeper combo rapes ass when keeper ults and swiftblade spins.

And how is elec not a good initiator? basically he runs in and shuts down their best hero, making it a 4v5 for about 6 seconds. And if he's good, he won't die. Seriously, if you're not initiating at all as elec, ur doing it wrong.

Because 99% of all viable teams will have a disable to stop Electrician, and once you have your grip on CD, electrician is useless for the rest of the battle. You can't really stop a Predator leaping into your team and using Terror, you can't stop a Legionnaire blinking in and calling, you really can't stop a blinking Kraken, you really can't stop a Hellbringer calling down Malphas, and you really can't stop Tree once he has his ult off. Notice that all of these other intiators actually have AoE presence, compared to the one disable Electrican brings.

But that's where good elec's will be seperate from bad ones. The good elecs will take down whatever the other team's strongest disable is first, so your team doesnt have to deal with them. It can work, but you have to be good.

it wouldn't be a complete 4v5 since electrician is somewhat out of the picture since he is doing his little disable thing. so in a way it would be 4v4.
KNOW WHAT I MEAN?

Elec can't do anything during those 5 seconds. It's more a 4v4, but it does make it easy to know who to attack. Any stun will interrupt the channel. The damage is minuscule by midgame. That's why elec never gets kills.

Initiators are tanks, and have to be, since they draw fire. Lego has lots of health, a disable which makes him pretty much immune to physical damage. Behe just stuns a bunch. Pred jumps in, does very good damage, and heals, as well as being immune to magic. Shoot, even a properly farmed zephyr is a good initiator due to leap, and being one hell of a tank. With wingbow/that evasion item, 44/40% of any ranged attacks are either negated or shot back at the enemy, all the while doing 200 magic damage per second or so to the immediate area. If he gets disabled, it doesn't matter much, since his damage isn't through attacking/activating abilities.

fun strategy with maliken: rush whispering helm really fast, then get a minatuar. put the minatuar by the big creeps (big red dots) and every respawn, get ur guy to run in there and then run back out. this stacks the creeps which makes like 30 of them there at once. then rush in with maliken and use ur sword throw, rush out, and repeat. easy way to get that 6k build that comes after whispering helm (forgot the name). this can be done with other heroes too

Ultimo does this from time to time. His creeps always get stolen though.
We almost stole it in our in house game but I think it was Shredder who wasn't f'ing listening to us in me and Lingie's plans. I'M LEAVING YOU GUYS, GOTTA GO FARM SOME LITTLE CREEPS. NEVERMIND THE 5X STACKED ANCIENTS OR THE POTENTIAL 3v2 BATTLE WE COULD HAVE WON.

If this was recently, it definitely wasnt me. I havent played with lingie since like, before maliken was introduced into the game.

If it was you and Lingie, that means the inhouse was when it was me, Kevin and Hydrolisk vs you, Swarm and Lingie. I do kinda remember that happening though, ancient creep stacks are epic though.

Also, Witch Slayer = epic.

Stacking ancients all the time is so broken right now to be honest, they're far easier to stack than they were in DotA and it's like 300 gold every minute. Anything with splash damage rips them apart: Hammerstorm or a carry with Runed Axe, or even just a Pharaoh softening them up for your carry (while simultaneously stacking them) works well.

I hope they move the ancient spawns to every odd minute, it's getting meh. Top players ward it and gank them as if they're going Kongor when they try to kill it.

Thats cause basically when i play with you guys or w/e, we always wind up playing 1660+ ppl ne ways. It doesnt make much of a skill difference.
