... what makes you think that? There's no real concrete evidence against me, just Dapperdan's theory that we should eliminate random people hoping one of them is mafia..

Well, there's your increasing desperation to try to swing the vote onto Dan..

Quote
I was thinking the exact same thing, actually. He even said earlier he doesn't think I'm mafia but now seems to have no care if I die.

I don't think you're mafia, per se, but I don't really care if you die. Like Ezday said, the more dead people, the more obvious who is mafia. Besides if we get three bandwagons together, we can see who is on which one.

Quote
But wanting to lynch that many people purely randomly is still pretty bad odds. You still have 65% chance of getting only townies (I think).

It narrows the field of unknowns.

38/44 (you aren't going to lynch yourself.)
86.363636363636363636363636363636% of it not being mafia.

The more dead mafia, the fewer townies die; the more dead townies, the better the odds. Lynching ftw!

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Sorry for me playing the smarty-pants... but look at the numbers:

45 total players, 6 of it mafia.
break it down to 6/6 mafia and 45/6 total = 1 and 7.5 (as in my post above)
This means we must kill 7.5 ppl to hit 1 mafia. (This is somewhere between 1:4 = 25% and 1:10 = 10%)
Now look up percentage calculation and you know you have to divide 1 by 7.5 which is 13,333...%

That makes a horrible percentage of 86,666...% to hit townies if we target random. This makes clear we MUST use clues to win.

EDIT: OK moneylover was faster... well he is more used to numbers due to his affliction of money I guess ;)

I change my vote to CoB.

Oct 29 2007, 2:12 am Laser Dude Post #306

We've got the wrong guys. NerdyTerdy is definately not Mafia, nor is DapperDan. I'm currently suspecting DTBK very strongly. I think voting CoB off is the best chance we have. We have the grim reaper evidance, and although it isn't as sturdy as other cases, the chances of him being Mafia are far higher than DapperDan or NerdyTerdy. However, if possible, I would like to lynch DTBK, because the chances of him being Mafia are far higher.

As such, I'm going to make a semi-complicated vote, and I'd like lots of other people to do something similar. I vote (immediately) for CoB. However, if it is possible to have a single lynch on DTBK, my vote would change to aid that cause.

I change my vote to DapperDan. But after this round, I go back to auto-voting Syphon. It's always Syphon.

I change my vote to Cob, I've been convinced Dapperdan is not mafia, and the best we can really do is get rid of Cob, who doesn't have great evidence, but better than everyone else.

Grand Moderator of the Games Forum

I just thought about this: May there be one clue for each mafia in this murder? Like everyone were involved?

Oct 29 2007, 2:35 am Cob Post #316

Hum, I think there's nothing more to do.

I can only say that clues last game were pointing at me because its a game of murder an killing.

@ Townies : killing townies is not the way to win.

Hm, that DTBK thing doesnt sound like pure invention. I'm leaving my options open to maybe change my vote to him later.
