Always compare with the Fry's Electronics bargain bin and/or Costco (if you're a member). Read the reviews on Newegg to examine the quality of the monitor.

I think newegg is good. I use them for other computer parts. I dunno if their monitors are good. I've never been much for graphics, so I've just used any old monitor.

The sword and the faith

For a low cost LCD, I recommend this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236059

Looks fine, as long as you want widescreen.

Hm, I remember the time when my 21" LCD cost more than my PC, which was a bit over $1,000.

The sword and the faith

Its 200$ DTBK, with free shipping. For an LCD of that size, that is very cheap.

Good deal? Definitely. But for a budget build the 23" is totally unneeded :P

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
