Canyons
This is an easy natural theme, practice high cliffs, rock out croppings and extremities, and maybe even a river at the bottom.  For all you natural lovers, implement some of those cool jungle blends.  This could range from cliffs to a ski resort!

I apologize for the lameness of the topic, but seeing how close to complete failure these contests are, I had to pick something completely non contraversial and boring....

All submissions are due by July 1, its summer, this is plenty of time

Past Topics (and Winners)
01: Secret laboratory (Jello-Jigglers and Kaias)
02: Subway (JaBok, The Great Yam and Jello-Jigglers)
03: Launch platform (rantent)
04: Inside of mansion (MNeox)
05: Rocky mountains (stickynote)
06: Islands (RoryFenrir)
07: Factory/Industrial (MNeox)
08: Coastal cliff (sardsim)
09: Christmas (RoryFenrir)
10: Castle/Fortress (stickynote)
11: Lost civilization (RoryFenrir)
12: Indoors (qPirateKing)
13: Lake (No Winner)
14: Hideout Area (xYoshix)
15: Forest/Jungle (Mp)rook)
16: Prison (RoryFenrir)

This is the list of past topics and winners. Thanks to qpirateking for creating it.

Try to submit something this round, these contests are on the verge of inhilation.

Just wanted to say "IIXX" meant 18 and we are to 17 now.
Moreover, 18 is XVIII.
17 = XVII

I agree with you, this is also my very least favorite thing to make, but i dont think people would be too happy with a city topic :P

This is a simple topic. I hope contestants will be more creative and send in something more interesting than stacked cliffs. I will be participating in this one.

The sword and the faith

I figured after all the official stuff I had to do in here I should lend a hand and participate. Nothing fancy but it's something I suppose.

Simple, but it looks nice. I've never seen those rock doodads used before though, the ones that kinda look like a fan of rocks.

The sword and the faith

I've been working on extending those rock formations into walls and such. I'll be releasing a map containing their blends and examples of their uses when I'm done.

They aren't actually rock doodads, though. Those are the rocks from the blocked cave doodad.

As sticky said, it's pretty simple, but it looks nice, although it is a bit blocky.

I'm not seeing "a little blocky".

The mirrors are a bit overused for my taste, but I'm more opposed to those than most terrainers. I like the simplicity of it as stated already.

What's the vision like for those rocks?

If anything, they are perfect for "cover" .. Like lil rocks or areas where you can hide behind and cover from fire..
I see good uses for that terrain :O

.. It's pretty too :P

Hm. I'd better submit now before I forget... here.

This is supposed to be a small island with a temple in it.

Comment please :O

Edit: LOL I didn't even see the topic- Canyons..I thought it was just something natural. I'll fix it o_O

EDIT: Okay, here is the Canyon version of it. It uses my custom cliffs.

some of the cliffs look a bit repetitive on the second one but the temple looks great. I definitely like the smaller one though.

@ xYoshix
imo, that is more of a shore than a canyon.

Yeah, I've over done it with my custom cliffs... The Temple is the main thing and those cliffs are just the background xD

Now that I look at it again, it does kind of look like a shore. I planned it on being a river of some sort. Maybe I could make it more river-like by having it have another side.

Does it look nice otherwise?

I'll fix it later..
