What was the reason for the change of the assault hero from M3 to the current build? If it was too powerful, make it weaker, don't completely dumb it down from one of the most most skilled heroes to the most blandest hero available. This hero was crucial to countering some incredibly strong combos and now it's just a "make scourge and chase the hero with your concussive damage". If the change was because of it's unpopularity, of course it's going to be unpopular if people are horrible at it. This is why Spec Ops and Mutant are probably the two most popular for pubs because they are by far the easiest to get good at regardless of their skill level. Assault is never chosen because probably only two people in all of TS know how to actually use this hero because it requires at least some skill to use. It's also the king of emergent game play when it's compared to the other heroes. Where's the emergent strategy in the new build? Either make a scourge or a nuke. This map needs more heroes that take skill, not a hero that takes as much skill as a Spec Ops. This is the only reason I don't yet primarily play M6 over M3.

Hey, I have just one thing. Assassin vs lm= auto assassin win. In 1.5 unholy fixed this by giving lm an obs spell, but in the m versions, he is absolutely destroyed by assassin as soon as assassin gets l3. Every other hero has a way of avoiding being killed by assassin other than he lm, who assassin has a huge advantage over. You think you could fix this a lil?

More inexperienced talk, but understandable because it's one of those few things that only people who have played all the classes a lot knows about.

The light mage actually does have a minimum defense against assasin in that its explosion effects for it's level 1 uses observers. About 1/6 times you cast it, the hypers will miss a beat, giving you vision to blast that assasin to kingdom come.

Actually, I already knew about this, but I'm not basing my argument off a glich that only happens 1/6 times, when usually a sin can kill a lm before he can get 6 casts off...

Or he can just L2 or back up, and you won't finish him.

Not something that should be changed, though. The LM has counters, so does the Assassin.

I disagree. It's just about an ultimate non-factor in any game. The only time it's ever good is from defending the temple, or when combined with its allies (and what hero ISN'T good when they have allies around). Even with its L1+L3 combo tricks and so forth, its mobility just about makes it useless even for M3 standards. It's a low hp, HUGELY mana intensive hero that also has one of the slowest speeds, sure it has its respective counters and what not, but they can just avoid the LM. Not saying it's not a powerful hero, but honestly, it's not possible to die to LM without suiciding straight at it, and if you are that bad, you deserve to die.

Against noobs it's OP. I guess that doesnt matter a whole lot though. I personally don't play it often, but it's easy enough to beat if you know how, I agree. It's a pretty useful counter against summoner especially, and I often play summoner, so I guess I look at it as powerful from that perspective anyway. What's so roflpwnage is when its night and you burrow a couple of lings behind his spawning path, then attack him a couple of times till he has to run, then unburrow the lings when he's on top. Instant lulz, and the LM is always going "WHAT?? I DNT GET IT WHUT HAPPND NOOB??"

I guess you didn't understand me. At night lm can't escape from sin unless he sits at the temple basically. The assassins l2+l3 combo allow him to bypass cannons and stun the lm for longer Than the lm can survive before he dies, and the assassin is also faster than the lm. And who came up with that l3 for assassin anyways? I really think it can be op a lot.

Any hero is over powered vs noobs because noobs don't understand the game. And yes while you have owned summoners they can simply keep there men away from you and if thety do you won't touch them. The only time you can affect a summoner is if you have him trapped in base then you can use reavers so he can't get men out of the base.

Here's how my summoner would look, as well as the goblins and the abyssal demon.
The amulet controls them all! Mwuahahaha!

Character stance is weak.

He doesn't even look like he'd be able to control these monsters. He needs to look cunning and strong, yet reserved and soft spoken.

Yea, a lot of 'not-looking-right' of the picture, came from bad perspectives.

I was trying to do too many things at once.
I wanted the picture angle to low and looking up at him, which is why the hand and legs are bigger, but the decreasing size ends at the head because I didn't want to make the head to small or I would lose facial detail from low res. I did try to have the Summoner have a stronger stance- the chest a bit out more, but I couldn't make it too big. I also wanted the Summoner to take up a fair amount of the picture but fully show an abyssal demon towering over him in the background. Two of the gremlins in the background should be at ground-level, but I also wanted to show them coming out of the abyss and take up blank space. I guess you can't have everything in a picture, and if you do, it turns out weird.
