Why do people boost/glitch/pay to have someone up their live gamer score?
If you don't really earn it properly, it's not an achievement and totally defeats the whole idea.
Does having a high number make people feel great or something? Because there is nothing truly more lamer than doing the above three just for numbers.

The same reason they hack in games without achievements. Ya, the numbers make em feel good.

The whole achievement thing is a load of bullcrap to begin with because there are a plethora of games that just hand you achievements for doing mundane things that you have to do anyway to begin with. I know a person who goes out renting super easy games just to farm gamer score.

So... what do you get for having a big gaming score?

i dont think any one really believe that a single person could play that many games in his life and honestly i dont think ne one cares about scores ne more

i think its the whole ego thing. i got the higher number so that makes me the better player obviously right? yeah...

its pointless to do that, but hey, its a way that some people can make money

some people just do it to show off and feel cool. I personally like the idea of tracking how much you achive and once I get to a certain number I feel pretty good about my abilitys and what I have conquered. I'm at like at 12,590 right now and I only had the thing for 8 months. thought if some one wnats to hack there score to 99999 or w/e thats pretty retarded?? I mean yah you got all them points just in 2 mins but really just sucks the fun out of it. what do you do then? Points would become boring and pointless. also it really just shows your a asshole who has no skill ;l. orginally is what you on your own, and what points can you really achieve without help.(also thats why I dont by strategy guides...you going to play the game the way they tell you too? Or play the game and find out all the good stuff on your own that was just a last thought

Lol. My friend got his account stolen and he had like 10k+ gamer points. I just lol'd at his stupidity.

Besides that, I don't give a crap about your gamer score, if you farm gamer points, you look like a dumb ass that needs to be killed a few times to learn your place. Then I laugh at you when someone that has less gamer points and looks like a noob that rapes you

I think the score should actually be:

Achievement Points/Number Of Games Played

Microsoft would have made selling games so much easier if Gamerpoints could turn into Microsoft points in a 1 to 1 ratio.
