Hey guys, i want to know if anyone thinks like me. I mean, i am atheist and I almost made poeple cry at my school saying... things about christianism...
I do not want to say anything bad about any religion, I just want to know if anyone else thinks that... well... it is hard to believe, when a science-addict like me, that any god exitsts...
Yea, there are no proof of the presence or abscence of god, i know all that, but I do not believe in the exploits the gods make...
What i believe in is volumic mass, matters property and the fact that pi is a periodic number, nothing else.

Just tell me if you believe or not in any religion and why.

Edit: Changed some words to really reflect what i want to say.

Please do not say anything crude about religions/persons that believes in them. I only wanted you to tell me why do you believe or not.

If you want to post in the serious discussion, please work on your spelling and grammar. What you typed contradicts one another. You stated you can't prove the existence of God and you can't prove the non-existence of God. There are many threads about this debate, this one is the worst of many. And just so you know, Christianism and Christianity are two different things.

Also, I don't know what Santa has to do with this. Santa is just a symbol of Christmas and something parents tell kids for Christmas to get them to behave well for presents.

Quote from Dungeon-Master
but I do not believe in books telling that a burning bush was not consuming, even after minutes...
really...... REALLY?! This is the depth of your atheism?

I'm glad I wrote this already
Quote
If your atheism stemmed from, and was grounded in disgust in christian hypocrisy, then you were never truly an atheist.

It's kinda like hearing a self professed 'atheist' saying "I hate God! Why does He care what I do? Fuck Him!" The first thing that pops into my mind is 1 John 2:19 these stupid people are easily converted, and go onto to testify that they were once an atheist too. To which I say "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us"

Atheists have just as much shame, if not more shame, as Christians do when seeing the least of their kind being the most vocal.
Have fun being a Christian in a few months. After that, I'll be waving good bye on the other side.

There is only an absence of evidence, not evidence of absence. In an absence of evidence however, I don't sincerely believe there is any higher power guiding my actions.

Wait, Pi is a periodic number?
After looking at the title and the post itself and saw all of the mistakes made I came to a conclusion.

Maybe he meant "Believing in god or satan"

fuck you all

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Is it me or are they having logic problems?

And for anyone who is still in doubt:

... whew. See, I didn't get that. I thought he went insane.

I'm still not far off, actually. First of all, if you made people cry over their religion, you obviously said something bad about religion. Secondly, until you have a logical proof that god cannot exist, god is a possibility. For all you know, the Christians are right. I'd pretty much stick with CAFG's assessment of your beliefs. Science does not contradict religion.

Ah, the great Teapot theory. There's a teapot out in some unreachable/undetectable region of space. Can we prove it's there? No. But can you prove it's not? Sure it defies all logic and reason, but no. So lets all woreship and form our lives around this space teapot, because as far as we like to think, it's up there somewhere! Woot!

In case it doesn't click with anyone, the teapot represents god and whatnot. The "lack of proof doesn't disprove" argument made by many believers definitely ranks up there with the absolutely worst supporting arguments for the existance of god. Of course we can't prove the existance of god. Like the space teapot, god is considered unreachable/undetectable. You believers really havn't left us much to work with, other than the fact that most of your ideals, like the space teapot, defy all logic and reason. Any intelligent person would accept the inability to prove such an extreme idea as reason enough for dismisal. Any intelligent person would realize that, in this case, lack of proof DOES disprove.

So if you couldn't tell, I'm athiest and would have to agree with you that no god could ever exist. The idea is absurd and stupid, I only wish more people would drop the religious ideas they were brought up on, their need to believe in something, fear of what's to come after death, etc., so they can take a step back and see just how ridiculous the idea of a god is. Until that happens, all you believers enjoy worshiping your space teapots. I'll be busy living my life free from religious constrants.

You would notice that DTBK stated that he didn't believe in god.

Lack of proof never disproves. And the same aspects that make god almost impossible to disprove make him almost impossible to prove.

I know, I wasn't quoting them as if to explain to them, I was only quoting examples of the teapot theory.

Seriously? I can't possibly think of a logical, reasonable explaination of why there would be a teapot floating around out in space. However, you seem to think otherwise, care to explain how it got there?

Prime example of just how ridiculous the idea of god is. It's so absurd that there's literally no way to conjure up any proof for or against the idea.

I personally think that anyone can think in anything (Including saTAN)
I just hope that poeple will stop putting their lives into the god's hands... It is not stupid to believe, but it is to center your life and actions towards god.

Why would it matter about what other people do in their life? It doesn't really affect you, or at least shouldn't.

Hello

I do not belive in God.
Why? -> God would not let people die because of homelessness if God exists.
And almost everything is proofable and logic.
Oh, and here is my proof that god does not exists:
