I do like the lockpicking clue, but the clue states that he knows how to lockpick. NT doesn't, but Dark_Marine does.

I vote Dark_Marine

Really straightforward interpretation here. Don't ignore this.

Quote from Mini Moose 2707
"The dream began very similarly to last night. I saw all black, but slowly, images of light formed before me. It made some type of picture or character. But I could not make it out."

"Yes, extremely similar, what exactly are the differences though?" Jaff prods, "This may be important."

"Well, it was certainly clearer. And it didn't suddenly shift scenes, but rather, how do you say, drew back from the darkness. I was seeing the wall on a room . . . or something like that. And then it was back. The same room as the night before. Except now a new man was sleeping there. Deathman101 tossed and turned in the bed. I noticed bruises and scratches covering his face1. The same creepy man sat by the bed, his legs crossed, reclining in a chair. I noticed that he placed a piece of white-lined paper on the table.2" Moose now paused.

Quote
'Shit, what do we do?' asks Hitok1r1. 'I think I can pick the lock,' said one of the men upstairs. 'No! Too merciful! Get the C4!3' yelled another. Darkling, Hitok1r1, MadZombie rush to hide in corners of the room and wait. They don't hear anything for awhile.
3. A note: The South Park character on the right in A_of_st's signature is a kid known as the Mole, who is proficient at explosives.

Doodan is not mafia. I vote for A_of-s_t.

Hat, your interpretation about his avatar is silly. Anyone who has an avatar with a white background could be suspect based off that interpretation (including you).

Its referring to white paper, not just a white background. Plus, there's also my clue interpretation against him.

Bull, the post mentions a paper that is white and is lined.

A_of-s_t's avatar is white and has one dimensional figures spewed all over it.

All right. It looks to me like the same person killed phobos and deathman by, apparently, forcing them to some room of his where this creepy fellow always sits with his legs crossed and with a piece of paper on a nearby desk or table. I liked paravin for this, mainly because of the "jazz concert" style of outfit that the killer wore in his first appearance. But this time, it makes no mention of "jazz clothes," but it does say something about his creepiness. Paravin made a topic about a map called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Oblivion Lost. His radioactive symbol in his avatar is also the symbol for the "Loner" faction in his map, and this particular killer seems to always be alone when he kills. Also, you can't clearly see the faces of either character in DrunkenNoodle's avatar and sig. A_of-s_t's sig is bloody, as is the room in which both killings have happened so far.

Dapperdan, MadZombie, Hitok, and Darkling were all killed in a basement.

The other familiar reference was with the blunt object. I thought that payne killed cheeze on the previous night because of how interested he was in cheeze's blender, but whoever was at cheeze's murder also used something specifically called a "blunt object" (which was also a toaster last time).

The last two of Moose's dreams have started with darkness emerging into light. I'm still not sure what this could mean. Moose's dream before this one began with him feeling hopeful and then losing it as he began to see what was happening. Look at DTBK's Shakespeare quote in his sig...

New references have to do with lock picking, explosives, and apologizing for destroying property and committing murder (how bizarre!). lil-inferno, in addition to being linked by fire itself like he always is, also made a topic called "Visual Effects List" that detailed multiple types of explosions.

I rule Oyen out completely because he's not been active since Dec. 6th.

I've (for now) ruled out NerdyTerdy. The "recurring characters" thing (that I believed suggested Nerdy) is probably just a reference to the fact that Moose's dreams keep going back to the same town with the same people and I doubt it's actually a clue.

The only thing that feels strong to me right now are the links to Paravin. For now, I VOTE PARAVIN

I like this - both nights the first kill with the "fade from black" imagery was at it all alone. Especially tonight, where everyone else was grouped together and killed.

I don't really think this is sufficient grounds - in previous games, one mafia would be sending in the whole hitlist, so if a mafia goes AFK for a while someone else will direct his hits. Besides, have we even seen all the mafia hit?

Not to mention the other evidence, but what leads you to this? I trust you, but your reasoning seems a little shaky.

There have been a bunch of other good interpretations this day.. but for now I'll join you in voting Paravin.

I suppose that's very possible. Never mind what I said about Oyen, then.

Well, before we lynched payne, I said that the "recurring characters" could be pointing at the fact that the letters E, R, D, and Y appear twice in Nerdy's name (recurring characters). But I re-read the first day post where Moose was describing his dreams as having "recurring characters." Since most dreams that everyone has are stand alone dreams, it is odd to continually dream about the same thing over and over. I think this was just establishing the story about Moose visiting JaFF, the psychiatrist, so that each session could be the next episode of the recurring dream with the recurring characters. With that in mind, I'm starting to doubt that was even a clue at all.

EDIT: Grammars

Upon further reflection, in the murders of cheeze, Madzombie, Hitok, and Darkling, sound played an important role. Both Echo and Nuderaider have headphones in their avatars. While that could mean something, I doubt it's as strong as the fact that the translation of the word "OYEN" from Spanish to English is "THEY HEAR." The full translation of Oyen's sig is "they hear auditory centers." (thanks to an online translator).

For now, I'm still voting Paravin, but this could mean something...

Yeah, but the dreams and lockpicking clues both point to topic that Nerdy started - were you just saying you don't have that clue anymore or you have some reason to believe that Nerdy is not mafia?

Haha, I'm a newb at this. I guess I was ruling "recurring characters" out as a clue, not Nerdy.

Before I even dare read the clue interpretations or read the nightly report, i would like to say i'm disgusted that A) Mafia want me dead and B) None of you said congratulations on making possibly the first bandwagon to lynch somebody, having the lynchee being mafia AND having absolutely no clues to back up the vote. Ultimately, what happened here was I had a gut feeling, I made up some gimmick and people actually followed Shox! Hoorah for shox!
And whoever the doctor is, thank you. You MAY want to reveal yourself to me.

I admit that you are now less suspicious. Payne also had a decent clue pointed at him. I suppose that a random selection can be right occasionally. I might as well ask if you have any gut feelings now?

Dec 22 2008, 9:56 pm InsolubleFluff Post #496

I have a feeling for one person, but it's not as strong as Payne. This one i'm willing to say i'll look for clues for. But doodan, if you wanna talk about it more, row__@hotmail.com (2x underscore) talk to me on there.

I still say FlyingHat.

I googled "Flyinghat" and this is the first result. Notice that the first picture (Night Lights) is very dark and seems to be of some kind of light source that looks like a gas lamp. Moose is also still hinting at similarites to previous experiences and JaFF smiles as Moose walks in.
Quote from FatalException
Even though Idon't particularly trust Brontobyte's interpretations judging by his attempt at using the randomizer to figure out who the mafia is, he did raise a good point about FlyingHat being mafia in multiple games, and the hiding behind smiling faces can obviously point to FlyingHat, who hides behind his smiling face avatar when he posts on here.
