They have to be the same shape, and you can only cut the slices straight (I see what you did there!)

HA, I GOT IT!

First make a cut from top to bottom.
Then take the 2 pieces and put them on top of each other and cut them again in 90° to the fist cut
Then stack the 4 pieces and cut them in half so each of the 8 piece is 45°.

Have fun eating those though. Tomato sauce from the bottom side is good for the skin of your hands - so I heard.

I think it's "Is the goose behind my back alive?". The goose is originally alive, however, if you say "Yes" the man can snap its neck and prove you wrong. If you say it's dead, the man just shows you the goose.

There are no other objects/persons/actions involved other than them asking and answering the question.

Also, everybody else could also know that the goose is still alive. ("Anybody else might give the answer, but not you.")
