Mind Control to aim spells?

I was wondering how to let people aim spells in The Battle of Breach (a map I'm working on) and had the idea of using Mind Control. The advantage of this is that it is easy (no having to move an Observer over your target or something) and that it won't get confused like a Distruption Web or Dark Swarm system might. (I couldn't use either of those anyway because I have Corsair and Defiler characters who use Dweb/Dswarm for spells.) The disadvantage is that the target needs to re-select their unit and that if there are too many units in one place the Dark Archon might not have room to spawn. So do you guys think I should use this, or find a different system?

I don't think reselection is much of an issue, as that could just be considered a side effect of being targeted. For the other part, you didn't provide enough information.

What other part? And I only really wanted to know what you guys thought about the reselection thing.

The reselection is a good idea; the hero needs to concentrate on clicking on his aimer. (or concentrate his energies on casting a spell)

No, as in the target needs to reselect because of being mind controlled.

Then every attack spell briefly stuns the other guy. I'd assume getting hit by lightning or acid will stun you for a bit.

True. I'll use this.

Maybe it would be cool to have the enemy "flicker" (move some place and after a few milliseconds move back) to let the player who owns it be kind of less confused about it being deselected? Ya know? Not that it really matters, of course.

Cool idea though, never thought of that.

Although when your unit has a spell cast upon it, it is deselected, but when you get it back, it is still hotkeyed.

As long as you don't reassign the hotkey it will stay active whenever you receive the unit back.

So smart players will only be momentarily interrupted.
This could also be useful to interrupt spells if you so choose, whoever gets their spell off first wins!
