Ehhhh you also voted for Epoch

I did. Oh. This is funny. When I thought I had voted for Epoch I had abstained, so I edited my post, and now that I thought I had abstained, I didn't because I edited my post to vote for Epoch. I blame Greo :P

:ermm:

I think Oyen might be Mafia; look at his name: Mafia.Oyen
On top of that, his avatar is metallic, which could be affected by magnets.
Devilisk's name was colored red, like the "Mafia." in Oyen's name.
Maybe that's too shallow, though.

I have a question for anyone who has ever been in the mafia in a past game....Who are the usual high-priority targets for the mafia?

None.

Nov 4 2008, 3:28 am Greo Post #130

Oyen was busy searching for someone, and together the two would be able to have enough power to face the Mafia. He sent letters to two potential teammates, and told them to meet at the corner of an intersection. Too bad he was met by not a townsperson, but a Mafia ready to jack him up. Oyen ran as fast as he could, but the Mafia hit him with a tazer, knocking him out cold. With a blade of energy, the Mafia jacked Oyen's shit up, and stole his pack of candied skulls. With that, the Mafia left to go somewhere else.

TassadarZeratul was busy working on locking up his new prisoner for the night. "You'll be safe here, trust me", he says, as he locks the man up. Suddenly, two of the mafia burst through the prison's doors, and out of the blue, the two riddle TassadarZeratul with hundreds apon thousands of rounds. The two Mafia step on his corpse, and fire at the prison cell. Luckily, TassadarZeratul's prison is rather incredibly strong, and cannot be broken. Unable to continue, the Mafia head home for the night, but decide to etch "Nooblet" on his forehead.

The ghost of Greo came back to the townies, and explained things. "You dumb doctors didn't even bother protecting tonight!" he rambled, "and on top of that, you got some guy who didn't even have anything to do with the Mafia! I hope you're happy." With that, he etched a number onto the ground where he once stood: 164025. You think the number might be of some importance. And from somewhere out there, you feel the earth rumble beneath your feet. A very bad omen, as this town has never had an earthquake in a thousand years. Somehow, you don't think the worse has yet to come.

Damn! The jailer can't protect me. The doctors aren't doing shit. And neither am I, except getting innocent people killed. ;)

In Mafia 8 my goal was to eliminate all the people I deemed smart enough to be a threat. It was like Dapperdan, EzDay, devilesk, DTBK, Killer_Kow, and some others I don't remember. As a parallel to that, I tried to find out who all the doctors were so I could kill them and fuck up their protections, lol.

In reference to the clues, I think the phrasing used for how Oyen was killed is important. "a Mafia ready to jack him up." and "the Mafia jacked Oyen's shit up." This is odd, and certainly placed there for a reason. I'll try to find some significance.

On the bright side, our fusion can now (hopefully) hunt down a proper mafia.

Note: Is fusion night, or day role?

Night role.

@sticky: Doodan's real name is Jack, but he's not playing. Maybe someone with connections to Doodan? Although, I don't really think that's the correct path. There must be some other significance..

I guess I should be flattered that the mafia viewed me as enough of a threat to kill me the 1st night of the game.
Well, good luck guys! :-(

*clears throat* Ok, back to work:

My thoughts so far:
Jack could also be reference to a card game. Someone who likes playing cards?
Or maybe Jack of all Trades of last game. That would be Echo.

Taser - Shocko? Also energy blade could point to him. A lightning is pure enegy too and the blade would be driven by electricity (maybe). In combination with that (electro)magnetic clue from last day this could mean something.

candied skulls - someone particularly fond of halloween?

riddle - could mean something. Someone who makes small riddle games here on SEN or asks or answers a lot of questions? Don't know. Just wanted to stimulate ideas on that.

"Nooblet" - haha no offense, but the first person coming to mind is stickynote

164025 - I love number clues! Square root of 164025 = 405 which is Nerdy's member ID. gg Nerdy.
Btw. I was wondering all the time why Nerdy is so active. He has never been doing much more than vote in past speed mafias - with the exception of the mayor game. Him being mafia explains why he's trying to be so "helpful". Note that he was the one who pushed the (technically wrong) clue against Epoch.
I vote NerdyTerdy.

The last part is obviously a reference to the awakening Deerwhale. The question is, has he already risen or is that just an omen that he's rising soon? (@Greo)

Also I find it outrageous that the doctors didn't even use their power. If you don't have the time/will to play speed mafia then please don't sign up instead of wasting town's resources by being inactive.
