flamefest? and i don't think it's ex's intention to change their moral values in the slightest, i think it's more his attempt to get rid of the assholes on the site and to make it a community where everyone can actually discuss the game. Right now, any time anyone asks for even the slightest balance change or help if they're a noob, all they get on the HoN forums is the classic "L2P, ur such a noob, game is fine as it is, DOTA is better" ect., which does not make me, personally, want to play the game. Sc may have succeeded well because it has a great community, where people actually are there to have fun.  |

it really depends on your place of perspective. S2Games thinks they are doing the sensible thing that should be done, and if you look at all the other gaming companies, they are pretty much doing the same thing as S2. Looking at it from Ex's perspective, it looks like they are all money-hungry bastards.

alright, played arma today for the first time and got a double kill in the first 2 minutes, but zephyr and thunderbringer on my team were noobs... all zephyr did was jungle, never used his shield, and basically flew into absolute death situations. Thunder only ever used chain lightning, bought a sacrificial stone when he had no kills, and once had a chance to genocide their whole team but said he couldn't because they were too far away... so we wound up losing.
also played a game as moon queen, and got first blood. wound up getting 6 kills, 8 deaths, and 20 assists... basically we had a pwnage tort who always wound up getting kills, even though we were all doing well, and we managed to easily push their mid and take their shrine... but tort, by the end of the game, had 10 charges on sac stone, holy shit. |

Argh I hate blood. he pwns me always.
played a game as magebane and did pretty well. went steam-helm of legion-geometers-brutalizer. and i pretty much pwned. i love blink so much i played a game as predator. i was lvl 11 and i pwned a thunderbringer level 16 1v1 in a 5v5 game |

for mb, you might want to go on a build that plays to his attack speed more. I agree on hotbl, steam, and bane, but i'd rather replace brutalizer with a wingbow, and, if possible, get slash before the hotbl, just cause mb's crazy magic armor gives him a certain survivability, in addition to his blink, so you might want the 25% evasion wingbow gives over hotbl, in addition to faster attack speed to mana burn... just my opinion.
btw, hotbl= helm of the black legion. any comments? i played mb for a while and do pretty well with him, and this is the general build i use. |

i was gonna go for a hack slash/wingbow combo but one of my teamates suggested this, and i had never played him before, so i went with that. we pwned either way
 geometers bane is good with him. cept blinking kind of ruins the effect at times |

question... bane gives mana burn right? does it stack with mb's mana burn too? cuz if it doesnt, then it's kinda a lot less worth it for mb imo.

Really a worthless item for magebane since the mana burn doesn't stack. Nullfire blade MIGHT be useful is you need the dispel. |

but nullfire also doesnt get the mana drain that it has as a passive: verdict, don't get either and get lifesteal so you're both draining their life and mana.

btw, does ex still control the clan? and if so or even if not, can we add more people to it or the staredit page on the forums? It kinda seems dumb to exclude everyone from them for not much of a reason.
also, in the forums, ex's name now has a golden shield... wtf? |

Still not worth getting it as a purgestick, you pay a bunch for the manaburn and don't use it. Have another agility teammate get it, if you have one. My Magebane build is just two 3/6/3's and Steamboots, then I go Slash->Manta Style (whatever it's called). Then I usually end up getting either a Shrunken Head or some sort of armor, depending on what the other team has for disables/damage. If you're fast you can dodge some of the projectile stuns with blink. If I'm farming really well I'll go for a heart to be pretty unkillable. I'm going to try getting a portal key, though.
