Except you'll be as fragile as glass with this kind of build, a couple of nukes your way and your images will be gone and you will be too. What's the point of getting Slash if you're not going to finish it? Magebane doesn't have a hard time chasing with his blink ability. I agree with Heart, but you'll need decent dps too. Portal Key? They might share the same cooldown, but why would you even want one? it's way less useful than blink.

Magebane has +15 magic armor from his passive, so he's pretty set on nuke defense. Slash gives everything an agility carry would want, and the bonus movement speed definitely doesn't hurt. I "finish it" as a Manta Style, I find it much better (Dispells debuffs on use, too, which is very nice for helping to blink away when silenced or something). Usually I don't have time to finish Wingbow, so I don't aim for it. It's probably the better choice. Usually I have time to get Manta Style and some sort of lifesteal (Whispering Helm, if a teammate doesn't have the Aura one), which holds me over pretty well.

Portal Key wasn't a serious suggestion, I just think it would be a lot of fun to blink in, hit someone once or twice, then blink right back out. =)

I'd like to refute that by mentioning the synergy between Kraken's ultimate, his -armour nuke, and Legionnaire's Taunt + passive + ult.

Kraken goes in with ult, while Legion waits by exit portal. Portal goes off, Legionnaire taunts. Kraken nukes target, Legionnaire focus fires, gets some passives off, wins.

That was an amazing game for me. Henceforth, my main hero shall forever be Predator, unless unforseeable, undeterminable, and grave circumstances intervene, at which time I shall select a new main hero.

Just going to drop this amazing match ID: 3854982. Each team "came back" 2-3 times. I was Tempest.

Played as magebane today and did really well as a support, basically shut down all their casters. When a team fight would start, i would immediately blink to their main caster, and i could drain about 130 mana per sec. Also, magebane rocks hard with lifesteal, got a whispering helm, adn could out dps their swiftblade even when he used his blade frenzy... I will also say that i was not fed in the slightest. My item build was

2 soulscream rings
slash
whispering helm
steam boots

by the end of the game, but ended up with enough money for a wingbow too...

When we're playing inhouses, or any game in this case, there should be a "no raging" rule. Seriously.

The "no raging" rule is an internet universal.

I think madman used to have intimidate, but then they switched it with barrel roll.

They ported Necrolyte over, he rocks! yAAAAAAAAAAAH! And Lich is pretty imba as is, and they nerfed Arachna up the butt.

Kraken and Scout are now changed. Let's see how useless they are now. IMO scout is now viable, and idk about kraken.

I'd rather see Drench stay and become buffed so as to apply its slow in an AoE than be replaced by Tidal Pull. Tidal Pull feels to be far too forced. Or maybe buff Drench to apply effects as it moves toward its target. Kraken doesn't have any awesome ranged attack now.

Meh. I like the DotA changes, but Kraken's Ult is just stupid. They need to change it to Tidehunter's.

Scout looks broken as hell now.

I'm not sure how Arachna got "nerfed up the butt." She actually got a buff in my opinion because now she can't be countered by a 400 gold mana battery. Her movespeed really doesn't matter when she slows her opponents by 40% at level 7.

I just played as Scout for the first time now and he was pretty awesome. Shame two on my team left, we would've won if not

yeah but scout is broken and so is maliken...

scouts invis right now doesnt take the mana upkeep, and maliken has a buttload of problems, one of which being his ult doesnt switch him to ranged attack.

nvm, they fixed it XD havent got to play it yet though.
