Is there any way to get workers to mine stacked minerals?

More than one mineral field (not stacked closely) would look rather ugly in my map and having no mineral field would make the game seem lacking (same goes for 1 scv/mineral).

If you are using SCMDraft2 select the unit you want stacked, go to 'Edit', 'Stack Selected', and enter the desired number.

Center view and tell the players to start mining at the beginning of the game. Only computer players can be ordered to mine.

Doesn't running a melee AI on the workers make them mine?
And if not, what happens if you place the mineral blocks all 1 pixel apart?

SDE, BWAPI owner, hacker.

AI Script don't work on human players.
1 pixel apart, what would that do?

who said something about humans?
I was theorizing that when the computers don't mine stacked minerals that stretching them out a bit might work because we all know computers can mine multiple minerals at once if they aren't stacked at all. Just an idea.

Human player, if I stack 10 right directly on top of eachother then the scv's won't mine them even if I have 10 scv's (only one will mine the mins).

Tried one pixel appart and 2-4 pixels appart with the same result before making the topic, is this patch related?

Make sure the mineral fields are owned by player 12, otherwise the scvs will wait each other to finish mining rather than choosing a different mineral field which is not being mined from.

Ah that you mean...
Well just wait 1 return. When a scv has brought back its first mineral chunk it will automatically choose the next block from the stack. Afaik there's nothing you can do to spread them out right away.

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

you could always give minerals based on triggers. If you have 1 scv, it will generate 8 minerals every so often, two will double that rate, 3 will triple, and so on and so forth up to a maximum of the number of stacks you have.

Yup that was the problem, nine out of ten mineral fields at each command center were owned by P1.

I feel like a fool yet again

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
