Throughout the millenia, there have always been those who, through misfortune, or weakness, or otherwise, have turned their back upon the standards of civility and goodness. Oftentimes it's not their own fault, for the opposing way is often filled with promises of wealth, and glory. There are always those aware of the less fortunate and weak, predators waiting for the opportunity they need to strike at the hearts of those who would normally be unwilling to give in, predators waiting to corrupt goodness into malevolence, benevolence into cruelty, to turn ambition into greed, and defile the souls they strike for their own benefit. They are a plague; selfish, unhelpful, destroyers of everything man has built and everything man has made great. To them, justice is to be torn down as obsolete and useless, kindess is the worst of sins, and compassion is thrown away in favor of viciousness. Nothing exists for them save their own ends, even should it mean the destruction of the world. Most of them are blind, and realize not the consequences of their way of life, but there are a select few who do know; they persist in their actions, despite the doom they would bring if left unchecked.
Lord Aster is one of these select few; a manifestation of nothing less than evil. He and his kin must be stopped.
All that evil requires to win is that good men stand by and do nothing. Should Aster prevail, SEN will be lost. IsolatedPurity is mighty, and has the powerful knight Mini Moose to protect him, but even they are not invincible in the face of an onslaught of a Horde as large as Aster hopes to create. Oppression, cruelty, and a DLDB left forever broken are all consequences of the SEN Aster hopes to create.
So I say, let us stand against him, not as Lords or Masters, but as the Light to oppose his darkness. Guardians, to protect SEN. Protectors, and Shields. There are those of you out there who will stand; I have seen it. So let us not fall one by one, divided against the might of an evil Horde, but stand together, where we have hope of defeating the evil that is coming. I will stand alone if I must, but I hope, someday, that everyone will see the way of Light.
I will not promise you power, or glory, or immortality like Aster; those promises are empty and broken. Yes, we may fall and be destroyed, captured and tortured, beaten, or left for dead by our foes. I offer you no illusions of grandeur, but only a long, difficult, and bloody war. I cannot offer you anything but peace of mind in knowing that you have stood rightfully against destruction; that you have chosen to be a part of that which coincides with your own principles, and that in a world of subjectivity, you have chosen a high standard despite the hardships of a world which would pull you down, that you have chosen a hard path despite the temptations of an easier way.
Here I make my stand, with those who will join me.
None.
